We thoroughly enjoyed staying near Speyside, a beautiful peaceful area that felt very genuine with warm, friendly residents and a sense of community. It felt like the Caribbean of 30 years ago, unspoiled by mass tourism. The Blue Waters Inn is located on a stunning cove with the sea just outside our doors. The rooms are comfortable and basic, no TV or phones (which we did not miss). The diving was very good. The Blue Waters Inn is walkable into Speyside however strenuous due to a big climb up...

Native Abode is more like a bed and breakfast rather than a hotel, so is not for everyone. The location is a little out of the way in a residential district, and a rental car is more convenient. The hosts were warm, very welcoming and went out of their way to make my stay enjoyable and comfortable. Highly recommended.

A stay at Fish Tobago Guesthouse is a treat. It's very close to the airport (only 70TTD taxi fare, if you chose to get there that way). It's also very close to what could well be the best chicken shop in Tobago. Close enough to the beach to just get away and while away some time watching the beautiful Carribean Sea.

This is by far the best hotel I have ever stayed at! If you are thinking of staying in Tobago definitely escape the rest of the tourist traps around Crown Point and venture to Bacolet Beach Club. The rooms, restaurant and bar, swimming pool and the private beach/bar ooze glamour!
