Gara Rock

4.0 star property
8.8 out of 10, Excellent, (116)
"We stayed at Gara Rock for four nights and were disappointed by several issues. While the hotel has potential, the negatives stood out. There were two boiler outages—one on the first morning and another on the final evening. During the first, we were asked to use the penthouse bathroom but not offered a room change. The second outage was resolved in an hour, delaying our dinner reservation. We were told the issues were due to cold weather and high occupancy, which felt unacceptable. The cinema...

5 Bedroom House Walking distance to Beaches & Ferry to Salcombe

8.0 out of 10, Very good, (2)
"We enjoyed a lovely stay in the house with family of all ages. Plenty of bedroom/ bathroom space with a good sized garden and great location. The location is stunning, but need to be aware there are 138 steep steps to get to beaches ( which are fabulous ) and boat to Salcombe! Ferry is easy to get to Salcombe And water taxis also...

"Looked lovely in the photos but the bathroom tiles were mould stained and the kitchen is a little tired, It could do with some TLC, new shower head Etc. However the property was clean and the bedrooms/bedding were fine, it was a bit chilly as we unfortunately had appealing weather so we had the plug in radiator on and the fire was constantly lit which gave a nicer atmosphere but we decided to leave early as it wasn’t really up to expectations."
