"It is my favorite place to stay in Iowa city so far. As it’s easy to walk to a lot of things, including the campus and target and dinner spots. The staff overall is very friendly. I plan to stay there again in the future."

"Lots of breakfast food options, but eggs were watery. Coffee was great! Unable to use in-room hot tub: no grab bars to use in order to exit tub. Also no grab bars in bathroom tub/shower."

"Breakfast is mediocre. Rooms on higher floorz are outdated and not maintained. The chair in my room was filthy, shower insert was yellow from water over the years and there was a weird stain/hardened substance on side of ac unit. Elevator floors were sticky and visibly dirty."

"I am a disabled traveler who uses a wheelchair. The room I stayed in was freshly remodeled and yet the bed was the old fashioned “high bed”! I was very disappointed. I could barely get up to it to sleep! The door had no lowered peep hole and the closet had no lowered closet rod, only 2 shelves. The roll in shower was nice, but had no curtain to protect your parked wheelchair from getting wet. All this is unacceptable! The only saving grace was that the pool had a chair lift! It was broken at first, but I had the front desk staff put in a work order and engineering had it fixed by the next day. I actually got to go swimming! All in all the staff was excellent, the room was poor, and the pool was good."

"Figure out which side the train tracks are on and book your room on the other side or you’ll be woke up every hour. Make sure the shower door in your room slides shut & will stay closed before you decide to shower or your bathroom will flood which you’ll see on your ceiling from the floor above you by shotty patchwork. Pro:close to river center establishments."
