“The Greenhouse” fit our needs well as we transitioned from one part of the state to the Anchorage area. Plenty of linens and blankets, quiet neighborhood with beautiful flowers in planters just outside the windows. Washer & dryer very handy and the host was very responsive and kind.
This cottage, in a peaceful location, made a great base for exploring in the Anchorage area. Many points of interest are within a days drive. It was nice to have a comfortable, clean, quiet location to rest in after busy days.
Owner was very accommodating. The cabin was very well equipped with extra amenities you wouldn’t typically expect. The location was perfect for us and was used as a base camp for many day trips and overnight excursions. Loved the rustic feel and surroundings.
Will definitely stay here again.
The VRBO description is pretty accurate. You walk through the bedroom with twin beds to get to the master bedroom. The bathroom is on the main floor. Two adorable friendly dogs belong to the owner. We mainly used it as a base camp, we were gone everyday. Really nice washer and dryer. It was perfect for us!!

Great serene place to explore Anchorage.
Supermarket near although you do need a car to stay in this place and move around.
Greg is a great host available to answer and clarify any question.
I just wished there was a second bathroom upstairs.
Be prepared to climb some stairs.
The kitchen has everything you might need to prepare a meal.
The downstairs bathroom has plenty of water and towels.
It has a heater downstairs and in the master bedroom with climate control.
The place is very quiet and tranquil for a peaceful rest after an adventurous day hiking, fishing or exploring the area.
This was a perfect base camp for our family’s Alaskan adventure. Quiet and centrally located from most of what we did (hatchers pass, Eagle river trails, girwood etc. Greg was a great host and was flexible with our stay as we were delayed due to flight cancellations.
This was a great little place for our vacation. Communication with seller was very easy. Kitchen worked well. There were extras provided such as laundry soap, toilet paper, etc. which I was not expecting and was a nice surprise. Good location.
We were staying here after selling our house before moving down to lower 48 so this was a little piece of heaven while we got our logistics together. Thanks Greg!
The house was as described. I would stay there again. I would say this is not a place for people who cannot climb stairs. The bathroom downstairs and the beds upstairs presents challenges. I would replace the carpet. Thank you to the host.
