The location was out of the way enough to feel like an escape, but close enough to not feel isolated. The house was exceedingly charming. The owners provided everything we could possibly need. It was a wonderful stay.
The Farmhouse is nestled in Colorado farmland and about 11 miles from town. Nice and private. The host John and Cathy are gems. The kitchen is very well stocked, the fireplace is cozy and the beds are comfy! There's a lot do so in any season!
The Farmhouse had everything! From the picturesque view of the Animas River valley, to the lush front lawn perfect for a leisurely game of Corn Hole under the the magnificent willow tree, the setting was idyllic. The house was charming and cozy, like going to Grandma's house. And like Grandma's, it was spotless and well-stocked. Our hosts, John and Kathy, were lovely: generous, helpful and kind. We will be back!
We loved our stay at the cute little farmhouse!! This is our 2nd trip to stay there and it was just as pleasant and peaceful. The owners were amazing. We came in late at night and they put a beacon out by the street so it was easy to notice. Sent text messages with anything the were doing on the farm to give us a heads up. Accommodating our daily needs with a simple text and they were there. The barn cat Lucy was so sweet and friendly. We can’t recommend this place enough. Thank you!
Until our next visit…
It was a perfect setting! Had everything you need , beds were real comfy, John the host was a real down to earth guy, loved the wildlife! It was great!!
I really liked the property and location (about 15 minutes from town). Wildlife around the house every morning and the property manager is very attentive to any needs. Will definitely stay here again if we visit the area another time.
This was exactly what we were looking for, very nice and quite. The host was so kind and helpful, ready to answer any questions we had. I would definitely recommend this to anyone!!
We traveled with friends to see the beautiful sights of Durango. Our stay was absolutely delightful and we will definitely come back soon. We loved the charm of the home, wildlife, peaceful surroundings, and the hospitality was amazing. We felt like we were right at home with our accommodations. See you next time!
We enjoyed our stay at this charming farm house. It had everything we needed. This house has a really peaceful, good vibe. We loved sitting under the big willow tree as we watched the hummingbirds fly around. The host was very helpful and knowledgeable about the area.
We had a great time at the farmhouse. It was well equipped with all the things we needed to feel at home and make the most of our vacation. It was close enough to Durango to be convenient, while being far enough away to be very peaceful. The host John is very easy to communicate with and helpful. Had a wonderful time.

Cozy Farm House
We had a wonderful week at the farm house. The home is very quiet and had all the amenities we needed. Loved the yard and all the mature trees. We were in the Durango area for a family wedding and welcomed the privacy at the end of each day. The owner is nearby for questions. Couldn’t ask for more!
This was a very nice place. Everything you need was provided. The beds were comfortable. The water was hot. The unit was very clean. I would definitely recommend this property.
I brought my Mom out to Colorado for her extended Mothers Day gift for a week. We loved the Farmhouse and John was such a friendly and amazing host. The Farmhouse was peaceful and relaxing and we loved the wild turkeys walking around in the yard. The Farmhouse was well equipped with everything we needed and then some. We enjoyed several meals on the porch. It was nice being able to stay out in the country but still only a short drive into Durango.
Our host John was truly the highlight of our trip. He is so friendly and accommodating. We enjoyed the opportunities we had to chat with him and joke around and share stories. Make sure those hay bales are symmetrical! hahaha. Thank you John for really making our trip shine.
