Beautiful house!

Durango Family Vacation

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We enjoyed our family vacation to Durango. The home was very nice and had everything we needed. The location was a little outside of town, but an easy drive to several activities we enjoyed. The Bar-D - Chuckwagon was a hit, as was the Mild to Wild whitewater rafting. We enjoyed some hiking and walking around the shops downtown Durango. One highlight that we did not expect was the Durango Recreation Center. It was worth the several hours we spent swimming, rock climbing, and playing there. This property was well maintained and the management company was responsive to a couple of minor issues that they resolved quickly. We would recommend this for future stays.

Amazing House

Amazing house and amazing hosts. We had the best stay while visiting our daughter during family weekend at Fort Lewis. We vacation a lot and this rental was one of the best we have stayed in. Thank you for the best trip!!!!!!

Great Stay

This house was great for my family over a long weekend. It is very new and stocked with comfortable furniture and everything you need for meals. Communication with the host was quick and easy. Would definitely stay again.

The house was very clean, had ample space, and was well appointed. The hot tub and multiple fire pits were a great addition! We made tons of memories and really enjoyed our stay!

Amazing trip

The house was perfect for three families. The layout of the home was great. Very well maintained and clean. Bedrooms were a very good size and comfortable. The kitchen was very well stocked. Along with the grill outside we had all we needed to cook. The back deck was a perfect spot to gather at night. The pool table, ping pong table, and the shuffle board in the garage were a bonus. Our 5 grandsons spent a lot time out there. Loved our time there!

Perfect Christmas!

It had everything we needed to prepare dinners, lots of fun things to keep family entertained, and ample space for everyone to enjoy! Christmas morning was awesome! We loved this home! Also, this is the absolute best location to enjoy skiing at Purgatory and spending time in the cute downtown Durango! Five stars from us!

Fall Hiking Trip

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This is our second time to rent from VRC and both have been great experiences. The house was new, very clean, beautifully furnished and equipped and so comfortable and well located. It is half way between Durango and the restaurants we enjoy downtown and the hikes we love down 550 towards Silverton. The only mention is the closeness to the Highway and the road noise from the beautiful patio and backyard.

Beautiful home with all the necessities

The house is beautiful with all the top of the line furniture and the most comfortable mattresses. The game room was a great place for the kids. We spent each evening eating and playing games on the covered back porch.The house is in a great location with beautiful views of the mountains and centrally located for anything you want to see. We had a great time and would recommend this house to anyone wanting to stay in a perfect home away from home.

Feel at home the minute you walk in the front door!

Reviewer Comments: A great location, a beautifully appointed home with everything you need & more, plus awesome views of the Animas Valley everywhere you look. We (3 couples) made use of the well equipped kitchen & the outdoor grill. The back deck with comfortable patio furniture & fire pit was definitely a place to gather. Who knew springtime in Durango could be so beautiful? Durango and it’s many attractions, great restaurants & shops is just 10 minutes away. The Hermosa Creek Grill (best breakfast), James Ranch Restaurant & Market, & the Gourmet Market & Wine are just a few minutes away; all have takeout. Dalton Ranch golf is just 5 minutes. TV’s, games, puzzles, entertainment, & hot tub all available before & after a day spent taking advantage of all that Durango has to offer. 275 Estancia Loop is definitely a home away from home & we will definitely return with more friends & family.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: What a find! The pictures don’t do the house justice. The house is beautiful and EVERY ROOM HAS A VIEW OF THE MOUNTAINS!!! We have a large family and pretty much only stay a VRBOs, and this is definitely the nicest we’ve stayed at. The house is absolutely gorgeous and decorated beautifully. The master bedroom is huge, beautifully decorated with a huge walk in closet, and beautiful bathroom. The furniture is very comfortable. The house was spotless, which is VERY important to us. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you need to cook with and has really beautiful dishes and silverware. Even the towels were very plush! I love natural light and this house did not disappoint, it has TONS of windows with phenomenal views, but we still had privacy with how the shades opened and allowed us to see the mountains. Cant say enough how I loved seeing the mountains in every room I walked in!! We loved coming back after whiteriver rafting or our trip to Mesa Verde national park and relaxing outside in the hot tub and my husband loved the grill. One day we stayed in, my husband and I relaxed watching tv on these super comfy recliners ( which we are trying to find now, my husband loved them)but our kids enjoyed playing ping pong and the with the pool table. Check in and out was very easy and the management company was really pleasant to deal with, we highly recommend this house. We are planning to come back next year!!! What a find! Magical Vacation Rental

We had a great time hiking and then eating all kinds of great food and catching up. The property was immaculate and well furnished; the views spectacular. We enjoyed seeing the train in the mornings and there is a great Cafe just down the street that had great coffee. Oh and the hot springs just a mile away are a must do!

So comfortable and has everything you need!

This home was perfect for our family gathering. It is a great location for exploring the wonders surrounding the Durango area and Durango itself. The kitchen is extremely well stocked! Comfortable living room seating and enough room for our family of 7 people. The hot tub and outdoor fireplaces were a hit as well. The furnishings were beautiful as well as the artwork. The one thing missing were grab bars in at least one bathroom. My 93 year old mother-in-law was not able to take a shower because of this but she did okay with “birdbaths”. The lack of grab bars seems to be a common issue in rentals for some reason. One of the king size beds sloped in the middle a bit (the room with the winter train photo)but we were able to get a good sleep. The home is very large! It is bigger than the photos show. The master bedroom could be a separate apartment! There is some highway noise if you have windows open or are outside during the day. It quiets down at night quite a bit. It was also fun to watch the Durango/Silverton train go by several times a day. Communication with our hosts was very kind, welcoming and prompt. Check in and check out was smooth. We highly recommend this home and would stay again if we are in the area.

Great family vacation rental

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We enjoyed our 3-generation family vacation at Hermosa Haven. It was wonderful to have 3 king-sized beds. We used the covered back deck lots for our evening meals. Kitchen was large, living room was big enough for us all. Lots of games to play too (pool table, ping-pong table, hot tub). The grandkids spent a lot in the big backyard. It does back-up to the main highway (don't hear it inside though), but we did get to see lots of Durango-Silverton trains go by.

Fourth of July in Durango!!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We absolutely loved this home. It was so spacious with comfortable seating everywhere. The bedrooms were spacious and the beds so comfortable. The shower in the master bedroom is HUGE and the water pressure fantastic. Never wanted to leave. We enjoyed playing ping pong, soaking in the hot tub and watching the train go by each morning and afternoon. The neighborhood is quiet with a small grocery store close by. It was a quick 10 min drive to downtown Durango for anything you need. Absolutely loved our stay and will definitely go again!! Communication with the management company was super easy and they made the door code really easy to remember.

Beautiful home in gorgeous setting that meet our needs

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We stayed here along with our kids and young grandkids and this was perfect as there was a room for everyone. While we couldn’t all sit at one table (there were ten of us), the kids were very happy to sit together at the kitchen island. We were out a lot doing activities (train, mining tour, Mess Verde, rafting and zip lining, and this was a very comfortable place to return to and relax. The adults especially loved sitting on the back porch drinking coffee in the morning, while the young girls loved waving to the train passengers (who waved back!). We would definitely come back here.

We enjoyed sitting on the back patio in the morning sipping coffee and warming ourselves up by the gas fireplace. The house is located close to many attractions, but our favorite thing to do was to cook dinner in the gorgeous kitchen and enjoy family time at the house itself.
