About this property
13 Acres. Animas River. One Safari Tent. Come Stay Awhile.
What if your Durango trip came with 13 private acres, private river access and a safari tent already set up and waiting for you?
Summit & Sage gives you the fun of camping without having to pack for camping. No pitching a tent. No sleeping on the ground. No hauling bedding, cookware and half your house with you. We’ve already taken care of that.
Wake up in a comfortable queen bed, make coffee and head outside. Walk down to the river, watch for wildlife, spend the day exploring Durango and the mountains, then come back to your own quiet piece of Colorado and watch the stars come out.
The safari tent sleeps up to four and is stocked for your stay. You’ll have a queen bed with fresh linens and bedding, plus a couch/trundle that can be set up as two twins or one full. There’s AC, a dining table and a kitchen with a mini fridge, microwave, dishes, cookware and the everyday things you actually need.
And yes, the bathroom is attached right to your tent. You’ll have your own hot shower, sink and vanity, composting toilet, fresh towels and bathroom essentials. No shared campground bathroom and no walking somewhere else in the middle of the night.
Once you book, reach out to Campfire Concierge about optional add-ons available for your stay. Want meals waiting? Bringing your dog and want pet comforts or a dog bed? Celebrating a birthday, anniversary or special weekend? Ask us about meals, celebration packages, pet comforts and other available extras. We want you to be able to make the experience yours.
Summit & Sage is off grid, but you’re definitely not roughing it. You’ll have power for the comforts we provide, including AC, heater, hot water, mini fridge, equipped kitchen. Off-grid power just works a little differently than power at home, so high-draw items may need to be used one at a time. We’ll give you simple instructions so you know exactly what to expect.
The best part may be what you won’t find here: rows of campsites and people camping right next to you. You get 13 private acres to slow down, enjoy the river, look for wildlife and experience those Colorado nights where you can actually see the stars.
Come to Durango for everything there is to do.
But stay somewhere that becomes part of the trip.
