I liked having my own room. Even though it was pricey, the privacy was what needed at that time. Air circulation was questionable. The room had a stuffy odour by the time I checked out. I decided not to cook since the kitchen facility was very crowded.

I was locked out on 2nd night of booking. Annoyed as i paid for 2 night but couldnt even get back in to have a showe, access card locked out. Was not schedule to hand in card till 9am??

Good clean property a bit of a werid request to uncover your pillow case if in a doom room. Surely its easy to see if someone has slept in the bed or not.

Hi Samantha Thanks for the nice review . The maybe seemingly weird request if explained by Staff is that we require you to bring the Pillow case down in the morning . when you check out . Staff then know that the bed without a Pillow case gets stripped of its sheets and remade with clean sheets ready for the next guest . Thanks Regards Matt

Staff were lovely. The Single room was clean and tidy, no noise from the pool hall/bar below. Added bonus that there was a pool hall. Clean bathroom and showers. Was simple and adequate and the carpet was clean and new-looking. AND parking was free!! Yeah. I intend to stay again. Keep up the good work!! Unlike the hotel I had stayed in 6 months prior that was dated, in desperate need of a carpet shampoo and had a very uneven floor and cost way to much.

It was center of the town. Every things are walking distance. I stayed a room w bankbed. Bit small room, still good value of the money. There is a Bar downstairs, free pool to play. Overall 5 out of 5. I enjoyed stay there. Thank you.

Typical backpacker hostel - great at the price in central Dunedin (lovely town) just yards from The Octagon in the town centre. Nice views from roof terraces.

Newly furnished, clean, quiet and close to city centre. However, some basic amenities are missing. No kettle or cups. The shared kitchen is in a different building which is inconvenient.

Very centrally located, and top value for money. Having the bar downstairs, with the pool tables etc was great, as was the amenities with the kitchen etc. Would stay here again no trouble at all. Staff were top notch as well, made our stay as comfortable as possible. A

Very clean, well run, we were instantly given another room when the first one had people in it who took all the beds, not just the 4 they had paid for. Just a couple more hooks in the shower cubicles, please.

Worth and highly recommend
Wonderful stay, all the facilities are clean and new. Unlimited wifi provided and free table pool in bar area, guest also enjoy discount for drinks. Free simple breakfast. Just two things might bother, long stairs not good for big luggage. Nearby very hard to find parking

I booked a queen room with balcony through Expedia and was deceived by the advertising. We arrived late in and were put in a back room with two single beds, no windows or balcony which I had not booked. I would have booked elsewhere if this was to be the case. Breakfast was advertised too, however it was just cereal in a very dirty kitchen area, thats it. The person who checked us in was rude and unaccommodating and said they didn't even have rooms with balcony's, however when we went upstairs there was a room in use with a balcony, so devious and dishonest. The place smelt badly of damp mould and rot, was very disappointing.

Nice and clean everywhere. We had room 23 which is at the far end and so nice and quiet. The bed was comfy, the tv worked ok and the shower was good. There was a small heater however the room was still a bit cold so we got a blanket from downstairs. Breakfast was included cereal, toast, tea, coffee, milk or juice. In the summertime this would be a great place to be. Parking is in the car park, at the top, to the left of the hostel.

Its location was superb. Close enough to all services etc, but just far enough from the main street to be very quiet. I had a double room with en-suite on a corner with entrance direct from the outside but didn't get any noise from people passing or in rooms above and beside. Bed was very comfortable and room warm with a heater.
