The property is very centrally located and good value. The desk staff were very helpful and obviously enjoyed doing their jobs, more than any desk staff we encountered on our 3 weeks in NZ.

Bus stop close by. Great breakfasts at the cafe next door. The garden was a pleasant place to sit watching birds after a long day 0n the Taieri Gorge train trip and at the Beer Festival.

Definitely recommended.

Great location in Dunedin, plenty of eateries within close walking distance, on-site parking a bonus. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms are of a good size and comfortable. Breakfast was basic but totally adequate and less than the cost of a fancy coffee elsewhere ... great value.

The property is older and perhaps outdated, but it was clean, very convenient, and the staff could not have been nicer. If you are looking for a luxurious stay, this is not the place for you, but for all others, it serves the purpose well and is conveniently located in the octagon, but not noisy.

Enjoyable Stay in Lively Dunedin

Great location for central Dunedin and the Octagon's nightlife. Parking availability very handy in a quiet area. We had a large room with separate comfy chairs for TV viewing. Staff at reception gave excellent advice on the surrounds.
