"The staff couldn’t do enough. Room was pristine. I was running late for breakfast and they managed to get me a takeout coffee and sandwich. Couldn’t ask for more. I’ll be back. Also it’s great to have off street parking."

"The room was clean and tidy The bathroom was good but had two cracked tiles Biggest drawback was NO air conditioning the room was cooking, even though there was a fan in there Breakfast was a bit of a let down Eggs was dry, bacon was greasy and had been sat there for a while They could do better.. the food in the evening was ok but the chef seamed to burn a lot of things.. mostly the pizzas The staff were great The hotel was lovely, me and my wife would definitely stop there again And there is ample parking The swimming pool looked great All in a very good stay"

"This is not a 4 star and I am very skeptical of the overall review rating. I'd give it a 2 or 3 star, and rate it a solid 6 overall.The room had an odd odor and was musty (it was warm.during my stay, so maybe that's why). The room was clean but dated. There was so much furniture in the hotel, but so random. The breakfast was not good. For what they had it seemed like old, reheated food."

"The Radison Blu was a very upscale hotel sitting right on the River Shannon in Atlone. A short walk across bridge to Castle & old town. The room was quiet, clean & well appointed . We appreciated them being able to allow us early check in. The Double overlooking the River was quite large & the bathroom very updated. While it is supposed to have air conditioning, it is controlled centrally and only turned on at the facility discretion. Our room was quite warm & when I called about it, I was offered a fan. I did find that the windows opened which also offered some relief. The other thing I disliked was that WiFi was unsecured. In this age, security is paramount and I feel any WiFi offered should be password secured. They have a quite elaborate leisure center included in stat which includes use of bicycles. The gentleman running that was very friendly & helpful."

"Really enjoyed our stay in Athlone Springs in what turned out to be different circumstances that what we were supposed to be in town for. The staff were really helpful and went out of their way to look after our needs. The pool was a great service and one our little man really enjoyed. If we are back in that part of the country we would not hesitate in staying there."
