Wanted very relaxing spa and restaurant night with husband. Arrived to find many families with young children staying. Used gym whilst awaiting check in. Within 10 minutes of being in (newly refurbished) lovely room, nearby kids were running up and down the corridor knocking on all doors, three times. Asked to be moved. Reception staff responded immediately and we were put in (slightly tired and dated) yet very quiet room elsewhere. Food excellent in restaurant but greeter would not accommodate request for quiet table (I have a sensory disability and hearing impairment).

The Staff at the Hodson bay were very polite and helpful. The room we stayed in was a bit dated compared to a room our friends stayed in. It is a very busy and noisy hotel, and would be good that there was a quiet room to read a book or just to chill. The food in the fine dining restaurant is excellent, and the food in the bar is basic pub grub but again nice. The staff in the Spa are excellent, but it could do with a relaxing pool, with a plunge pool and spa jets. The only other issue I would have is, the bar has a coffee/ pastries counter. I asked the staff a few times for a extra hot mocha and twice it was luke warm which had to be sent back. i think the bar could do with a bit of light entertainment at night, but only a suggestion.

Hotel is excellent, beautiful location, plenty car parking, 2 ev charging points on the back of the Hotel, very nice swimming pool with hot and wet sauna , breakfast very good and plenty options, staff very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend.

Dinner was excellent and I found the gym to be superior to most hotels where I've stayed as it had a complete range of dumbbell weights, not just small ones, in addition to some machines, pullup bar, and barbell bench press, There were, of course, treadmills and another room with stationary bikes. The room was not large, but modern.
