The kitchen had everything we could have wanted. There are stairs to navigate to the lower level. Everything was very clean. Would be especially nice for people with children or people who fish. We used it as a base to explore the area so never got back before dark thus didn't use some of what was there. Really nice how much is shared for guests!
My family and I had a great experience staying at this property. It was clean and met all our expectations. We had a fun, relaxing week and would definitely recommend this property.
We enjoyed celebrating my husband’s birthday here. The home is perfect! Cute, comfortable, great outdoor space, and a view of the lake! Use of the kayaks was fun and relaxing. The basket of snacks was a nice touch and appreciated! The location is perfect for accessing all things Duluth. It was a quick and easy drive to Canal Park for the Festival of Sail.We appreciated the air conditioning on the hot, muggy days.Looking forward to the opportunity to stay here again!
We enjoyed the watercraft, fishing, making our meals and playing games in the house. We visited some of the nearby state parks, and restaurants. The location really is great for a variety of activities.
The property was even more beautiful than the pictures! Had a very nice, quiet week with lots of things provided for us to stay as busy as we wanted in the lake and the cabin. Would highly recommend for anyone looking to get away- the hosts were very friendly, accessible if needed, and very accommodating!
What a great cabin! Loved the two bedrooms each with their own bathroom. Cozy and so well stocked. They thought of everything. Would love to come back.
Great house and location. The house was clean. We appreciated the well stocked kitchen for our cooking and snacks. Very pretty view. Hosts are very easy to communicate with and stay very enjoyable with everything we expected.
We had a wonderful stay and look forward to booking this VRBO again in the future. It was perfect for three adults and two kids, and we appreciated how clean it was. Thank you to the host for the quick responses.
A quiet retreat that was perfect for visiting the area. The cabin is very clean & well appointed from the comfy bedding to the very accommodating kitchen. We enjoyed a brisk visit from a bear cub, throwing a line off the dock to fish & a relaxing evening fire. A perfect getaway spot!
This was a charming cabin not far from all the activites that Duluth offers. Super clean. We loved the added touch of the usage of kayaks, paddleboards, and paddleboat. We enjoyed those after a long day of siteseeing. Saw deer in the yard while we enjoyed a fire. Was a great place to relax away from all the busy touristy areas.
We had a very peaceful stay. House is beautiful and lots of room for the 4 of us. House looks great inside and out. Owners very helpful. 2 restaurants just across the lake/couple minute drive. Kids had fun fishing and catching frogs. The lake is very big.
Our family of 5 had a wonderful stay here in July. Amber, the host, was very responsive. answered all our questions quickly and even dropped off coffee filters our first night, when we told her there weren't any, (and I didn't think to pack them). The home was very clean! My husband brought his little boat and enjoyed fishing. The boat launch is close, a launch pass was provided. We saw lots ducks, an eagle, loons, heard many other birds on the lake. We were visited by a Mama deer and fawn in the front yard one morning. This really is a great central location for everything in the area! The first 2 days it rained the majority of the time. We went to Duluth ( about 30 min drive). Did all the indoor things - checked out the aquarium, walked through shops had lunch at the Duluth Grill (highly recommend). The next 2 days we hiked at areas nearby: Hartley Nature Center, Bagley Nature Area, Hawk Ridge Reserve, Chester Park, & a portion of the Superior Hiking Trail. Explored Canal Park, looked for agates at Brighton Beach (The girls swam in Lake Superior, but it was too cold for me!)On the way home we went through Superior, WI and explored the sandy beach at Wisconsin Superior lighthouse entry point (free). We hiked and saw the waterfalls at Amnicon Falls State Park. Our daughters went to Pattison State Park as well. (Both are about an hour from the VRBO, as is Jay Cooke, and Gooseberry Falls State Parks, which are in MN).
We love staying here with our family of four. The property was exactly as described and very clean. The quiet location on the water was great and everything Duluth has to offer is within a 15-20 minute drive. The kayaks were a highlight. We would definitely stay here again.
It was a beautiful spot for a small get together with friends with enough accommodations and activities there and nearby to have an really enjoyable weekend.
