Lovely little spot
Hotels.com local info on a beach within 220 metres is out of date as it’s not open any more. Recently modernised, and with all the mod cons. Lovely little town, with not many choices, but all good ones. Great little garden bar (al Castile) and pisciatore restaurant next door.

Thank you for your review. The small beach near the Hotel is open even now. It crosses a private passage and it is a bit impervious, but available ;-) The name of the bar in the centre is "Al Castello", instead the restaurant one is "Al Pescatore". Thank you again, see you next time in Duino!

Very nice hotel
My husband and I were in town for a race. Andrea was very welcoming and helpful. He answered all of our questions with kindness and patience. He booked taxis for us and gave us suggestions on where to eat. The hotel was very clean and comfortable. I would highly recommend staying here, especially because of Andrea.

This little hotel is a jewel, and Andrea, the owner, made sure that everything was ready and comfortable. He is a fine chef, so the breakfast was memorable. And Nanna, the hotel dog, was also an excellent greeter and hostess.

Nice hotel to stay on way to Venice
Stayed here on our way to Venice and then again on our way back to continue our trip into Croatia. Staff were friendly and the breakfast was very good.

A 10 out of 10 place to stay
This is a truly lovely place to stay and just a few steps away from one end of the Rilke trail. Andreas cooks a wonderful home made breakfast with warm foccassia, fritatta, homemade breads and cakes and great antipasti. He will also give you reliable and friendly advice on how to find and enjoy the locality. It's a 10 out of 10 kind of place to stay.

A szálloda külsö fényképe nem a szállodát ábrázolja hanem tengerparti éttermet és ez megtévesztö. A szálloda a tengertöl kb 700 m-re van. A fürdöszoba pici de tiszta.

Wir wollten auf unserer Heimreise nach einem Kurzurlaub noch in Duino am Strand essen und buchten daher eine Übernachtung in diesem Hotel. Wir waren angenehm überrascht, wie freundlich und kompetent wir vom Hoteleigentümer selbst empfangen wurden, die Zimmer sind am neuesten Stand der Technik, alles wurde uns erklärt und gezeigt, Badezimmer groß genug und sauber, einzig den Fernseher konnten wir nicht in Gang bringen, andere Zimmernachbarn auch nicht (Fußball-WM!!) Frühstück um € 8,- liebevoll hergerichtet, mit selbst gemachtem Kuchen und anderen Köstlichkeiten. Wirklich empfehlenswert.

Spotless, perfectly kept but cramped
The room was very cramped with a single window facing the road. The bathroom has none. If you are ok with air conditionig the room is beautiful but if you are in need of fresh air not so much. Since the only place outside is a little patch of grass in the parking lot I felt a little constrained. The room is very modern and spotless. There are USB plug in the wall and the lights and AC are activated with the magnetic card. Desk personel was very professional and friendly.

Fazinierender Service!!!
Das Hotel Auroa in Duino ist ein absoluter Geheimtipp. Es ist seit seiner Gründung vor 70 Jahren in Familienbesitz. Der aktuelle Eigentümer hat das Hotel 2017 von Grund auf renoviert, sodass es topmodern ausgestattet ist. Die 10 verfügbaren Zimmer sind zwar etwas klein, jedoch ist der Service wirklich toll. Der Besitzer führt das Hotel voller Leidenschaft, bäckt täglich frisches Brot und Kuchen für das leckere Frühstücksbuffet und gibt auch viele Tipps, was man in und rund um Duino unternehmen kann. Die Lage ist sehr zentral, das Schloss von Duino ist 150 m entfernt, der Rilke-Wanderweg startet direkt hinter dem Hotel. Beim Hotel sind Parkplätze vorhanden. Man erreich drei Restaurant in wenigen Gehminuten. Ich/wir empfehlen das Hotel voller Überzeugung weiter.

2 Sterne in Duino
Hotel ganz frisch renoviert ( Laut Bestizer vor 10 Tagen wieder aufgespert). Zimmer sehr stylisch , nicht groß genauso das Bad . Tolles Bett. Wir hatten Zimmer zur Strasse die nicht befahrensschien, aber in der Nacht doch zu laut war, wenn mann beim offenem Fenster schlafen will (es gibt eine Klimaanlage , die aber ziemlcih laut ist). Frühstück kostet extra 7 €, wir haben es nichct genommen, aber das kleine Buffet schien gut zu sein. Der Besitzer sehr freundlich und entgegenkommend. Hoteleigener Parkplatz - gleich vis a vis sehr wichtig! Teekochesr und Tee im Zimmer.

Lieber Gast Vielen Dank für Ihren Kommentar. Wir bestätigen, dass das Hotel seit Ende Juni 2017 nach 7 Monaten Renovierung wieder geöffnet ist. Nur um sicherzustellen, dass jeder versteht .... das Hotel hat Klimaanlage in allen Zimmern sowie schalldichte Fenster und Wände. Nochmals vielen Dank für den Aufenthalt bei uns und wir hoffen, Sie bald wieder zu sehen. Grüße
