This place was an incredible place to stay! The staff were next level. Super helpful, kind, and knew all the best places! Dinner at Above 5 was spectacular and the perfect way to kick off our trip. Don’t forget to book a massage!

This is an exceptional hotel and worth its steep price tag. You will not find a better location in the Old Town. Wonderful staff; wonderful service. Bar cocktails are ridiculously good from the house mixologist.

Cold water for a shower. Would expect more from a four star hotel. Talked to the staff, but still had to take cold showers. Expensive by Croatia standards. Stayed in much better four star hotels in Split, Zadar and Obitaja.

Beautiful property. Nicely decorated and very clean. Staff is very friendly. There is a beautiful terrace/restaurant on the roof top where breakfast is served with panoramic views of the old city! Just beautiful.

Lovely Old Town Stay
Very friendly staff. Breakfast was beautiful on the roof terrace and massage in spa over the lane wonderful. Room small but adequate and quiet. Right in the middle of the old town so all sights nearby.

Charming Modern Hotel with Amazing Food!
After a long flight, our room was ready early. The staff was extremely helpful meeting us at the Pile gate in Dubrovnik. The food at Above 5 restaurants was outstanding. We enjoyed a rooftop Michelin rated meal and breakfast was simply fresh and delicious.

Heart of old town Boutique hotel with charm.
Right in the heart of the old town. Room was very small but luxurious. All the expected quality amenities. Staff at check in were amazing but they were not so good in the morning when we were trying to change our transfer time so was a little frustrating. Breakfast on the roof terrace had to be quick as we needed to leave for our flight but the food quality was fabulous and they did get this out to us knowing we needed to rush so very grateful for that! In our room there was paint peeling off the bathroom ceiling so that should be looked at that, other than that the room was very comfortable.

Certainly the best thing about this hotel is the staff, who are incredibly friendly, accommodating and gracious. Steph just could not have been better. One of only two hotels in the old town, it's definitely extremely nice and I would describe it as a luxury hotel. Beware of two things: First, there is no elevator and the rooms range from level one to level four. We were on level four. No big deal for us, but it could be for some. Secondly, room 402, which was our room, is immediately below the kitchen of the rooftop restaurant. There is considerable sound coming through from the floor of the kitchen until approximately 11:30 at night. This is not a minor level of sound. I suspect that all other rooms are OK in this regard.

Amazing property. Right in the heart of Dubrovnik. Couldn’t get any better. Amazing staff and the restaurant on the roof top is a MUST. Truly an experience. Must have the tasting menu. Rooms are small but new and super cozy.

mi experiencia en este hotel ha sido pésima, no lo recomiendo a nadie, el precio está muy por encima de lo que ofrecen, no se puede descansar, por la noche el bullicio de la gente se mete dentro de la habitación ya que las ventanas no cierran, la dirección del hotel nos amenazó al quejarnos del ruido y nos acusaron por fumar en la habitación, al pretender que nos cambiaran de habitación, nos cerraron la habitación con nuestras pertenencias dentro obligándonos a pagar una noche más (900€) para dejarnos entrar, un HORROR.

Dear Javier and Sara,Now let’s talk about what really happened!Since the first night you were smoking in our newly appointed, designer Suite. Smoking is strictly forbidden in all guest bedrooms as well as all indoor areas of the hotel. Regardless of non-smoking signs throughout and contrary to advising you after your first night, you have continued to do so without any regard for our rules or the next guest arriving to this Suite after you. Evidence of you smoking was reported both by the night porter who was delivering ice, drinks and other amenities throughout the second night of your stay as well as housekeeping and then management team who found cigarettes and a lighter (funny enough next to the non-smoking sign), Villeroy & Boch porcelain espresso cup that you were using as an ashtray (how classy of you) hidden behind the window handle of which you broke. All of which was documented.After that you were not warned anymore rather notified of the penalty for not adhering to the non-smoking rules and ignoring our first notice. You were shown where this information is clearly displayed in your room at which point you told your partner ‘I told you not to smoke in the room!’ clearly admitting to the wrongdoing and then proceeding to apologize to us for smoking in the room and promising you will not do it again, although not without drama, excuses and arguing!After long deliberation and after moving the next days arrival to another Suite, Management has agreed to significantly reduce your penalty and to only charge you a cleaning fee, to which you have agreed and thanked for understanding. Now three days have passed since your departure on Sunday, professional deep cleaning company was here all day Monday, washing all soft furniture and carpet, all soft decorative pillows were sent to laundry and the furniture is still drying. The guest who was arriving on Sunday was upgraded for free to our most expensive Suite and now you tell me how lucky we were to get a classy guest such as yourself? Our only regret is that we didn’t charge you the full penalty! Regardless, we consider ourselves lucky since ‘guests’ such as yourselves are a rare sight in our beautiful city and in our establishment. Kind regards,Hotel Stari Grad
