Just happened to stumble upon The Harding Hotel and glad I did! The room was clean and plenty of space for two people. Loved the bar downstairs and that it was in walking distance to everything you need in Dublin.

The Harding Hotel rooms are dated and lack charm. The bed was very uncomfortable. There was a tiny 1 inch ledge into the bathroom which, even with a light bar (which was too bright while sleeping) made us trip and stub our toe many times. The room was hot with no way to change the heat and the windows did not open. We were told we should park in Q Park at Christ Church, but when we went to leave, this garage would NOT take American credit cards without a pin. We tried 3 different credit cards. It also wouldn’t take cash. When I called the hotel for guidance so we could get out of the hotel, the first woman I spoke to was sympathetic and tried to help, but she then passed me to her supervisor who was very rude and was more interested in not taking the blame for us parking there than actually helping us get out of the garage. After 20 minutes, my husband was able to show a kind man our issue and he paid with his credit card and we gave him cash. The hotel is located within good walking range from everything in Dublin, but I wouldn’t stay there again!

Dear Molly,Thank you for taking the time to share your experience of the Harding Hotel following your recent stay.I am so sorry to read that we did not meet your expectations during your recent stay.All bedroom windows do open - the room you were in has 2 x Velux brand windows that you use the bar along the top of the window to pull open/push close.Should any guests ever have difficulty with windows we have a 24 hour desk to assist.All rooms have AC units to control the heat/cooling in the rooms. They are controllable by a remote control left in the room. Currently AC units are set on a gentle heat mode but can easily be shifted to cooling mode where the fan speed and temperature are easily set for the guests' own preference.Again should any guest need assistance with the AC unit in their rooms we have a 24 hour desk willing to assist.Car parking is outside of our control - we recommend guests use a close by public car park, Q Park at Christchurch, and have arranged a discounted rate for hotel guests.At the pay machine there should be an intercom for Q Park staff to assist as well an small office beside the exit barrier where during daytime hours there is usually a member of Q Park staff present.I have sent them your issues with payment as we were under the impression that their pay machines take card & cash.Card payments for cards without pins has never ever been an issue for any Harding Hotel guests that we have been made aware of.I am awaiting their response and will share with you whenever they reply.I am sorry that you felt the response from the Harding was lacking in any way and that you felt uncomfortable in your room - again I only wish we could have been made aware of any in-room issues during your 2 night stay to try and resolve them while you were inhouse.With best regards,Jonathan HynesManager

We enjoyed the location of the property as we were there to have fun and see different things and it was near everything you could ever want to see or do in Dublin. It was close to the Main Temple Bar area, Christ Church, St. Patricks, Teeling distillery, Dublin Castle, the Guinness plant, etc...... etc...... Restaurants were all around it but it has a great PUB attached to it - Darkey Kelly's - great food, drink, company and IRISH BANDS / MUSIC. Sunday night had about 12-15 musicians show up and play for hours play Irish tunes and just jamming together while Friday & Saturday had professional bands come in and put on wonderful shows. Great rooms at the hotel. excellent breakfasts. Would go - probably will go - again.

Absolutely loved our stay. Proximity to pubs and shopping, and Darkey Kelly’s Pub adjoining the hotel is the greatest - authentic live music and great food/drink. Amazing history and fun within walking distance and phenomenal service. Could not recommend higher. Will stay here on all future stays.

Nice hotel near Temple Bar area
Nice hotel near to Temple Bar area, so very convenient for walking around Dublin. Room was spacious with a large bed and bathroom. Also connected to a pub and a cafe, so convenient for breakfast or for drinks in the evening.

We loved our stay at Harding Hotel! Despite it being very close to a lot of pubs and restaurants, the area was very quiet at night. We had a beautiful view of Christ Church from our room. Staff was very friendly and helpful when we needed directions or advice. Very conveniently located. Would stay again, for sure!

Great location, friendly staff, large comfy room, fantastic bar and restaurant 😀 The only thing that let it down is the shower. There is no water pressure when you want hot water and the water was barely hot enough, its fine in the wash basin but the shower is not fit for purpose.

Perfect for stay in heart of the city
Well located hotel with friendly reception staff. Large room with comfortable bed and decent shower. Did not have breakfast as wasn't hungry in the morning after eating late the night before but it looked good at reasonable price

Wow. Wow. Wow. I don't often struggle for words, but I am writing this review, as I don't think anything I put into words will do this hotel justice. I am someone who travels to Dublin multiple times a year, as I absolutely LOVE the place! We have stayed in many hotels over the years, but never this one. In this visit, it was a trip with my dad (who has visited Dublin once previously and fell in love with Darkey Kelly's attached to the hotel) this was the reason I booked the Harding Hotel. I booked via Expedia, and was so shocked at how reasonable the price of our booking was, I emailed the hotel ahead of our stay to confirm they had our booking and it was correct, it indeed was! Check in was 2pm, and we arrived around 11am in hopes of having our bags stored and start our day. To our delight, we arrived and were welcome by the most friendly receptionist, who informed us that our room was ready! After being up since 3am, this was an amazing start, we were able to check in, drop our bags in the room and freshen up, before heading back out. The hotel location is in what I consider to be perfect for exploring the city, and was walking distance to a lot of the main tourist attractions, including the Guinness Storehouse, Teelings Distillery, Grafton Street, Molly Malone and Leo Burdock's fish and chips! Our favourite feature was the fact that Darkey Kelly's was accessible from our hotel (just a few second walk down a ramp and straight into the bar)!! Highly recommended

A great location at the western edge of Temple Bar by the river. An easy walk to many attractions as well as public transportation points. Having the cafe upstairs, and the pub downstairs made it easy to grab a quick drink /bite before heading out into the city. Room was cozy and comfortable, and having an ample supply of tea and coffee was much appreciated,

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service, amenities, property conditions & facilities
My 1st time un Dublin I ate at Darkey Kelley's. First and best Fish and Chips ever. So i was thrilled to get a good price to stay at Harding Hotel. We enjoyes it very much. Walkable to most everything. We ate at Darkeys both evenings. I will say, the portion size and the taste both went down a notch, but stillainod. I would stay again.
