Birthday at Dubbo Abel Tasman Motel.

Friendly managers of the Motel. The outdoor pool was refreshing. Rooms very nice, shower very good and TV was good - lots of channels.

Disappointing to be woken early by cleaners

Regular visitor to Dubbo and first time staying here. Room was spacious and comfortable, however I have marked down on the comfort rating due to the early morning noise from the cleaners trolley. I was staying 2 nights and around 8am was awoken by the noise of the cleaner's trolley outside my room and then at 8.45am was woken again by a knock on the door, even though I was staying a second night and checkout isn't until 10am. Motel is within walking distance to the Dubbo Zoo, Macquarie River and a few eatery options.

When I booked the room 2 months ago, I requested and was granted a downstairs room (2 hip replacements). We were checked into an upstairs room however. Disappointing. The temporary manager very kindly changed this, even though the place was full. Vey impressive. Also, the carpets need replacing and the shower needs regrouting. Other than that, pretty good.

Good size room for a family, overly deodorised room that you can smell from the carpark and the towels needed to be retired years back as they were threadbare. Could be better but it was cheap.

Stayed here while on a road trip. Room was spotless, very comfortable.Even though it's on the highway, didn't hear any traffic noise. Within walking distance of Club Dubbo for a very nice evening meal.

Highly Recommend

Our family had a great stay, only for one night. Unit was clean and tidy. Close to too the Wester Plain Zoo which is what we needed. Rose Noise was a little loud but did not bother us to much.
