A perfect stay in lovely accommodation. Excellent ameneties and a good location. A very thoughtful welcome basket, which even included gluten free cookies for us. Thank you very much for a great stay.
Beautiful property with excellent hosts. John and Katy greeted us in person and even allowed us to check in slightly earlier. Immaculate accomodation with a very personal touch, a welcome hamper & even a basket of treats for out dog and a fenced area for the dog too. Thoroughly recommend, a great base for exploring the local area.
THE PROPERTY WS OF A VERY HAGH STANDARD, our welcome was beyond expectation ....eg the welcome pack
We were very isolated and further away from Beverley than we thought ...my fault as I thought we were to stay in the village not far from the racecourse !!!!
We were taken by the friendliness of our hosts .... Should we make the journey again we would certainly be visiting you again
Very good place to stay and recommended. Great location, surroundings and ambience. Friendly, helpful hosts. All one could want really.

Wonderful and relaxing
Simply couldn't have wished for better. First class accommodation and first class hosts. The area is great and would recommend a visit to The Black Swan. Everyone was so friendly. Highly recommend a stay here
A very clean, comfortable and cosy cottage - and what a welcome! The fire was alight when we arrived, there was a pretty Christmas tree and a welcome basket of foods including local bread milking preserves.
A wonderful place to celebrate Christmas. The tree was up and decorated, the log fire burning and the turkey awaiting. The facilities for making the property 'accessible' are excellent.
Extremely helpful and welcoming hosts.
Such a beautiful place! There's clearly careful attention to every detail to make the stay perfect - everything from the cleanliness, the design, the facilities and extra touches, all the way through to the outside surroundings and the friendly helpfulness of the owners. I'd also highly recommend this accommodation and location for anyone with mobility issues or those in wheelchairs.
Great property especially for my husband who has MS the wet room is fab and all on one level well thought out very pretty and gorgeous outdoor space which we very much enjoyed on a sunny evening and excellent location for exploring Beverley and the coast

Simply magic.
Perfectly done to make you feel tucked away someplace special. The space was perfect, fire, heated floors, beautiful finishes. Just could not have been more perfect.
What a fantastic property and lovely location, we booked The Cart Shed as a base for visiting York, the amazing Aquarium in Hull and the nearby town of Beverley which is such a lovely town with all the shops and eateries you would want. Staying here would also be a relaxing and peaceful place for a break. The Cart Shed has everything you need, just pack your clothes and enjoy the experience. Will definitely be returning!

Tranquil
A lovely spacious place to stay, very clean, hosts Katy and John were very helpful. Everything is provided, including an abundance of fresh eggs. Ideally situated for exploring this part of the world, lovely walks ,perfect for dogs, a15-20 walk to the village, which has everything you need. We would certainly be looking to come again .
My elderly mum and i had a lovely stay in the Cart Shed. Beautifully restored, light and airy space, well thought out with a very well equipped kitchen, comfy furniture and everything we needed. The walk in shower, toilet rails and smooth floors/no steps were perfect for my mum who walks with a wheeler. We enjoyed the private yard and outdoor table & seating in a quiet rural setting. John and Katy were very welcoming and the organic prosecco & hamper was a lovely touch!

Spacious yet cosy, welcoming and comfortable.
Our family of five spent our autumn half term week at Swallows Nest and thoroughly enjoyed it. With three bedrooms, three bathrooms and a lovely kitchen / dining area we all had plenty of space to eat, sleep and relax. Our boys loved the private wood, where we lit a fire in the fire pit, one night and toasted marshmallows. Beverly is a beautiful nearby market town with great shops and cafes and well worth a visit. As are day trips to Hull and Filey and a pizza dinner at nearby Bert's Restaurant.. All in all, a lovely break in a gorgeous cottage. Victoria & Paul

Fabulous!
Thank you Katy and John for making our stay at The Cart Shed so enjoyable. The cottage itself is decorated to a very high standard and we loved all the little extras provided, ie flowers in the bedrooms, beautiful food hamper, as many free range eggs as we could eat, even a rucksack for the dogs with treats etc! It’s these extra touches which make this accommodation 5* plus. We loved the surrounding area great for walking although the weather wasn’t the best. We would love to stay at The Cart Shed again and we will definitely recommend this property to family and friends it’s a gem!
You could not wish for a more relaxing location. The property is situated in a rural location with fantastic wildlife around. It is well furnished and everything has been thought of. The welcome basket and home made scones was also much appreciated..
We were a group of 6 celebrating a 65th wedding anniversary so being on one level and having two en suite shower rooms and a family bathroom was ideal for the age group.
The local village pub served good food and was very COVID secure. The same can be said for the local fish and chip shop.
All in all a nice relaxing break.

A wonderful stay
We stayed at The Cart Shed for our 7th Team Menopause annual cycling holiday and our stay could not have been better - (we are 4 women of a certain age) Katy & John are the perfect hosts. Very welcoming and incredibly helpful but unobtrusive unless you need them. The Cart Shed is beautifully appointed and well equipped and very clean and warm. Loads of hot water, comfy beds and enough stuff in the kitchen for proper cooking. The eggs from the resident chickens were a highlight.
Even our bikes were cosy and secure in a locked out-building.
A holiday to remember. Thank you.

Beautifully converted cottage/barn
Had a lovely 4 nights in this cottage. The hosts, John and Katy, were extremely accommodating and always on hand if needed but at the same time you had plenty of your own space and were not overlooked in any way. The property has been beautifully renovated to a very high standard. Very clean and tidy on arrival and John and Katy have obviously put a lot of thought into what they have provided in the cottage for you to use - games, DVDs, books, a great selection of maps and brochures, torches, shoe cleaning stuff (just to name a few) and not forgetting the lovely welcome hamper for both us and the dogs! Loved our private outdoor seating area which looked out onto open fields and a small woodland - all very secure for dogs and young children. Our slightly older children (13 and 10) loved being allowed the independence to go into the woodland where a hammock and fire pit have been set up - all felt very safe. We'd gone away saying we would eat out but loved the property so much that we stayed in each night. Will definitely be recommending to anyone wanting to visit the area and hope to return ourselves too. Thanks again to John and Katy.
Had a lovely week , nice and peaceful.
The place is great , loved the patio watching the sun go down with a beer. Also loved the hammock in the woods. John and Katie are really helpful with advice about the local area (and getting us our eggs ).
Nearby beach great for dogs.
I don’t think we could have asked for a nicer or better equipped place to stay
We appreciated the kindness of the hosts and the wonderful birthday cake - also the lovely welcome pack
We will return
We had a wonderful stay here. The Cart Shed is beautifully furnished with special extra touches for example a welcome pack, a Christmas tree and dog treats. It was comfortable, warm and cosy and a perfect spot for a pre Christmas get together.
The area was close to the beaches for some great dog walking and there were brilliant places to eat (or takeaway) close by.
We highly recommend it!
Extremely friendly hosts, excellent accommodation spotlessly clean with every amenity provided, from first aid kits to binoculars for viewing the local wildlife.
