Immaculate Seashell River Cabin at Estes Park

Do not be fooled. This cabin is 1.5 miles from Estes Park City limit, 3.5 miles from Estes Park City, 7.5 miles from Rocky Mountain National Park ( google verified ). We were part of Estes Park and just got rezoned. You cannot be much closer to all of the world class attractions.

Come and stay at our fabulous cabin by the river. All new furniture, appliances, and mattresses. See our new pictures.

Historic 1920's Riverfront vacation cottage in the heart of the Rocky Mountains. Located just outside downtown Estes Park on the banks of the Big Thompson River. Picturesque surroundings with towering Ponderosa pines, the Canyon, and the Big Thompson river!

Decorated tastefully in a seashell and nautical theme, you will enjoy this newly decorated abode. The bathroom is graced with a claw foot tub and shower.

A picnic area is provided in front of the cottage beside the river. The Big Thompson River is very wide at this point and there is even a small island in the middle right in front of the property. There is a family of ducks living at this point in the river. It is known to be one of the best fly fishing areas too and you have private entry to the river!

Behind the cabin, there is steeper terrain with many rock outcropping, very scenic! A very large rock formation can be found to the right rear of the cabin. Beautiful scenery from every single window. Come and stay at our fabulous cabin by the river.

A. This Cottage is an owner operated business. We meticulously clean between guests to ensure a most pleasurable vacation experience. There is a leave as you found it policy except for Linens. A. The home is approximately 7 miles away from RMNP entrance and 3.7 miles from the town of Estes Park. The cabin used to be in the Estes Park township and was moved to Drake in the year 2010. You can google the directions and verify

Q. How many guests are allowed, how many vehicles are allowed and what is the parking situation?
A. The cabin accommodates 3 guests com . The second bedroom is small. Only 3 guests and two vehicles are allowed (in the designated parking areas) as per Estes Park Renting Laws. The cottage is situated on a small trail by the river surrounded by trees. Please plan to drive in a vehicle the size of a small SUV or smaller.
There is an extra parking spot across the driveway. Parking for an extra vehicles, if needed, is is available near the paid parking center near the visitor center approximately 3.5 miles away.

Q. Is there air conditioning, heat, and a washer-dryer?
A. There is no air conditioning as it is very rarely needed. It becomes very cool at night and sleeping is always comfortable. Daytime is also comfortable if the blinds are down during peak sun into the cabin. There is no washer-dryer in the cabin. However, you can use the coin laundry located near the Safeway center. We have electrical baseboards in each room for heat during winter.

Q. Is the cabin secluded and what is the level of road noise?
A. The cabin is not secluded and is near other cabins. However, the owners of these cabins are rarely there. Most river-side cabins in Estes park are located close to a road since the road are constructed along the river. Our cabin is no exception. You can see the bridge from our cabin, and the gushing Big Thompson river drowns some road noise.

Nice Retreat!
All was great at this little cabin. The only downside was that it was near the highway. The river sounds almost drowned out the sound, but not quite. Nobody's fault, and it was overall great. The Rocky Mountain Park was truly spectacular, and surrounding hikes were remarkable!

Enjoyed our stay! Very nice being by the river. Was great being so close to Estes Park but not right in the city and also close to Rocky Mountain National Park.

We have a wonderful time at the cabin. My husband and son enjoyed fishing in the creek.
Super easy booking online. Great on giving information about the upkeep and how everything works. It was such a relaxing time for our first family vacation in a couple of years. Close to town. We enjoyed mule deer coming down to our son fishing. Thank you so much for a wonderful place to relax!

Great hosts and awesome location!
We had a great stay and really enjoyed the adorable little cabin. It felt like a remote cabin feeling but we were so close to the main are of Estes and to RMNP. The hosts were very communicative and helpful! They even gave suggestions of grocery stores and things to do. Really appreciated the hospitality!

Seashell River Cabin
Very intimate location close to a river. Sit on the deck and listen to the sound of cascading water. Make sure your vehicle is midsize or smaller because parking is tight.

Amazing stay
One of the cleanest properties I've stayed at. We loved waking up near the river with great coffee that our host left for our stay. Quick 10 minute drive into Estes Park and right near the RMNP. Janet (our host) went above & beyond to ensure the property was super clean and Covid-19 safe. We also had a super unique experience in that our cabin was evacuated due to closeby forest fires. Janet was so quick to text us and move us, free of charge to her bigger Cabin on the other side of Estes. She drove 2 hours at 6pm to get to the cabin, spent 2 hours cleaning for us to move in. You can get much better service than this! Thanks for a wonderful, memorable time! Tom

River
Loved the river I would open the windows at night to listen to the sound. Saw an elk right across the river. Only complaint was that the one bed was way too hard. Other than that loved it.

Perfect Setting
Loved being right on the Big Thompson with a wonderful porch on which to sit and read and relax. A bit surprised by a September snow storm but it was so beautiful no one minded. Being so close to Estes Park and Rocky Mountain National Park is a plus. Comfortable for 3 adults with everything we needed for a relaxing vacation in a beautiful place!
