"The driveway to the property was treacherous - I wish they had made us more aware of how challenging it was to drive up it even in a 4x4 and had other options clearly spelled out in the emails of if there was another place to park and walk up just for safety reasons. We almost didn’t make it and had tires spinning and it was a very scary and rough start to our Drakes Bay stay. Plus it is a long drive on tough roads to Drakes Bay and then to have the last 100 meters be one of the toughest parts was unfortunate. We stayed in the house and heads up the bathroom is downstairs from the sleeping rooms and outside in the patio area so it was a little nerve wracking to walk down there at night."

"Property was located very close to Corcavado National Park, with tours to the Park starting within walking distance. Lots of wildlife in the area."

"This is a beautiful place to stay, it is indeed work out with lots of stairs and heels, but the views are like no other. And it’s not a far walk to the beach so all of the past are worth it to explore."

"This house was exactly what I wanted for my stay with my children in Costa Rica. Surrounded by the rainforest, short walk down to the beach. We saw many bird species from the balconies, watched capuchins and spider monkeys in the trees, enjoyed relaxing in the hammocks while blue morphos flew by. We also saw a coati, an agouti, and many scarlet Macaws. It was truly magical. If you want to get away from the touristy areas and be immersed in nature this area is perfect. Pablo and Lucia were excellent hosts- helped with airport transport and had great tips. Loved it!!!"

"Lovely staff, great food, as others have said it's very rustic which depends on your point of view how you take that. I loved it however, both ATV transfers we asked for didn't materialise which, esp for the route back, was mildly annoying. Being in the room whilst it was raining cats and dogs during the night was incredible"

"The cabina had an extra extraordinary view. We loved that the bedrooms were closed off and did have air conditioning, but that the rest of the unit was completely open The house cleaning staff did an excellent job of cleaning every morning I had laundry done, and it was very reasonably priced and done very well The unit is within walking distance to almost everything but best of all the beach is right there!"

"We actually stayed at the Big Banana house next door as there was no power available at the Binya House. No fault of the owner or property manager on the power problems as they escalated getting things back up and running. The upgrade to the bigger house was nice but the first 2 nights we only had use of 2 hvac units and no hot water so we needed to move a mattress on the floor of one of the bedrooms to get our kids cooled off. Once power was fully restored, house was great. The location and views were amazing. The outdoor space was phenomenal. House was well stocked. Close to restaurants and beach. Owner and property manager very responsive and would stay again. "
