"This is a very special place. We have stayed in very good hotels all around the world but this one is among the best. It is lovingly decorated and was very well restored. Each room is named for a member of the ex tsar family, and has its own decoration. "We arrived about 7pm to be told we had no room even though I had a confirmation of the booking. Was repeatedly hung up on and my calls also ignored. They also ignored hotels.com when they called to also help. Veliko was very busy and we would've been without a room for the night had a local old lady not overheard our problems and offered to help us find a bed for the night - thankfully she spoke English! Do not recommend as this is totally unacceptable service and very worrying for people...
