"It was in a decent location and was clean. However it did smell of something and the smell was difficult to shake… even with the windows and doors left open. There were lots of little things missing: no dish towels to dry dishes, no effective plug in sink to do dishes, no bread knife to cut bread, no iron or ironing board, no where to hang washing. All in all it was a pleasant trip. Gortahork is stunning. The soft furnishings in the house were decent but the smell of the house and all the...

Top Downings Hotel Reviews

Ballyliffin Lodge & Spa

Ballyliffin Lodge & Spa

10/10 Excellent
"The bedroom was spotlessly clean and comfortable, with a small fridge which was ideal for keeping the complimentary bottles of water, cool. We had lunch and tea in Jacks Bar and the food was of a very high standard, and reasonably priced. The staff were courteous throughout the hotel and especially Danielle, who attended to us at lunchtime. As we arrived quite early, we were delighted to be given an early check in. The views from the Hotel, over the surrounding area, are absolutely breathtaking. Finally, the breakfast was delicious with a wide choice of options. It was a nice touch that Colm served the hot items as required, ensuring that not only were they freshly cooked, but also piping hot. We would hope to return, in the near future, for possibly two nights, giving us the opportunity to explore more."
