"The manager was very polite & helpfu and the property was clean & well maintained but it was on an industrial estate which was a disappointmemnt and made the whole place feel down-market. I was woken in the morning by the housekeeping vacuuming the room next door and the corridors at 8:30, which made me feel like I was an inconvenience to them. Sorry but I wouldn't stay there again."

Andy and Lisa greeted us on arrival, showed us around and made it clear that they were always available if we needed something. Beds and chairs all very comfortable. "Absolutely gorgeous property.Lovely welcome gift and such a nice welcome for our family.The hosts are around if you ever need them, but we didn't as everything was perfect.The house, the pool and the garden were lovely and well kept.We will definitely look to return.Lots to do in the area as well."

"As a family of 6 adults and 2 children we stayed here for just over a week in August 2025. We were attending a wedding at Chateau de la Couronne in Marthon.The house had everything we needed, the children loved the pool, we had several bbqs and also visited Brantome and St Estephe.The bakery and supermarket in Javelhac (10 mins drive) were more than sufficient for our everyday needs.We had 3 amazingly clear nights and were treated to the best skies Ive seen since visitng the outback in Australia - even 'STEVE' made an appearance.The only thing to note is that it is the 3rd bedroom (with double bed and bunks) that had the very low door, which makes it a bit awkward for adults,but we made it work.Overall we had a fab time and would love to return."

"We had a fabulous 2 week stay at La Maison du Bonheur. We couldn't fault the beautiful property and surroundings. The pool was perfect for the hot weather we experienced. Cathy and her family were great, generous hosts. Getting a tour of their bee hives was a particular highlight! Overall, would highly recommend"
