  • My dad's friend owns a really cool karting circuit in Pageas, a few kilometres from Chalus where I grew up in France. They are both hunters. I know this is not everyone's cup of tea, but a lot of people from that generation in rural France do like hunting, fishing, fetching mushrooms. There are woodlands all around the karting circuit. My dad and his friend have built some platforms in the trees, and from mid-October to mid-November they go there every morning to shoot migrating birds. Those ones are some sort of wood pigeons going from Eastern Europe / Russia to North Africa. I did my own shooting that morning... with my camera! The sunrise was spectacular with some nice pink colours and mist in the valley.

Aangenaam en prachtig verblijf

Prachtig domein met bos erbij. Prachtig huis! Heel rustig gelegen. Je voelt er je de koning te rijk. Heel vriendelijke en behulpzame gastheer en gastvrouw. Werden bij aankomst een drankje aangeboden en mochten, indien wij dat wensten, onmiddellijk van het zwembad gebruik maken. Zetels stonden klaar bij aankomst. Voor het avondeten, indien je dat wenst, reserveren ze een restaurant voor jou. Is ook wel een aanrader om te reserveren. Ontbijt vonden we iets minder, maar wel lekker en vers. Een baguette zou wel mogen. Toespijzen waren enkel confituren en honing, gemaakt door de heer deze huizes. Is ideaal gelegen indien je een bezoek wenst te brengen aan Oradour-sur-Glane.

Une très belle demeure...

Une petite halte d'une soirée dans cette charmante maison d'architecte où toute la demeure est décorée avec classe et est une invitation à la découverte. Les chambres sont spacieuses et confortables, les pièces communes magnifiques. SI l'on rajoute la piscine et le cadre, vous comprendrez que ce lieu est à recommander sans aucune hésitation. Le rapport qualité prix est parfait, les hôtes sont extrêmement prévenants et transformeront votre séjour en un moment très appréciable. Le petit déjeuner est copieux et vous permettra de découvrir les saveurs de cet endroit. En résumé, n'hésitez pas pour une halte entre Limoges et Angouleme ou un séjour découverte de cet endroit...
