The view from the balcony is terrific and the location is perfect for getting around between Kaiserslautern and Zweibrucken. Would absolutely recommend to anyone and would stay there again given the chance."

"Eine wirklich schöne Unterkunft am Ortsrand gelegen. In nur wenigen Gehminuten ist man im Wald und kann dort auf dem Lernpfad sogar noch etwas lernen. "Arrived to find the street parking was actually 3 spaces, half a block away that were already occupied by other cars. We had to park on the sidewalk temporarily until a spot opened up to move to. 39 steps up to a third floor apartment, (not mentioned in the listing). The apartment was clean but dated. After our host's representative left, we discovered that there were no bath towels to be found. We contacted the host and he told us where to look for back-up towels. "Comfortable and a relatively easy walk from the train station. Convenient to the tram and by car also. Great breakfast. Friendly staff. Very nice rooms- only minor complaint was the use of very scented soap and shampoo. All in all very nice hotel."

Great Property…Killer view!

"A wonderful hotel with a view that could not be matched in the area. The room was comfortable and the air conditioning was a godsend as it was quite warm outside. The view from the terrace should not be missed. The property is a stone’s throw from old castle ruins (free) and an underground sandstone quarry (there is an admission fee), as well as a short walk from the old town. Full disclosure: the hotel is on the top of a hill. While the walk into town was all downhill and relatively easy, the walk back up to the hotel could be viewed as somewhat strenuous."

"Just back from a visit to Idar-Oberstein. Parking was easy, I arrived after 10pm so reception was closed but a staff member was able to quickly get me checked in. Room was perfect for my stay. Hotel is close to the Felsenkirche and castles. The Norma shop is 2 minutes walk away and there are several places to eat in the square."
