Very good location. Good food and services. Clean and comfortable room. Just a problem, there are some guests who used the public hallways as their backyard ! They smoked and let their children running around, yelling all the times despite the privacy of other people.

Disappointing

Chose this place as limited options in Dong Hoi during holiday week. Very ostentatious, but my criticisms echo what other tourists have said. Positives are location, it is very clean and rooms are nice. Negatives are it is noisy in the corridors from guests, and service at reception was poor. The breakfast has lots of choice as a buffet but was chaotic being busy with families with children dipping into the food with their hands and food all over the floor. Western choices are limited and no labelling of dishes. It was very unappealing. Normally hotels respond to criticisms by making improvements, but this hotel seems impervious which is a pity as it could be a lot nicer.

Care about animals?

Animal welfare in this place isn't good, serve turtles and shark fin's in the restaurant. Worse they keep big birds in tiny cages in the boiling hot sun. Sad stuff... No English speaking staff either so whether intentional or not they were very unhelpful. Rooms was good as was the wifi.

Hotel am Flussufer

Ein sauberes und komfortables Hotel in Strandnähe. Große Zimner mit gr. Betten. Kein Safe. Wasserkocher vorhanden. Frühstück mit hauptsächlich unterschiedlichen asiatischen Gerichten, frisches Obst vorhanden, Baguette u. Marmelade ebenfalls. Beim Checkout hat angeblich das Fußhandtuch gefehlt, das wir aber nicht erhalten hatten. Erst forderten sie eine Bezahlung, ich weigerte mich vehement und nach einiger Zeit konnten wir gehen. Ansonsten freundliches Personal, kaum Englisch-Kenntnisse da fast ausschließlich asiatische Gäste. Vom Flughafen 120.000 Dong zum Hotel

Great Location!

Very nice hotel and great location. A lot of good restaurants just down the road. The bed was a little hard from what we are used to but it's no different from any other hotel we stayed at in Vietnam. The front desk was very helpful and had a great restaurant recommendation.

Decent for a night's stay

Breakfast wasn't so good. Most of the food was gone or cold by 8:30 AM. Also, the staff wasn't the friendliest. I asked the front desk person to open a bottle of wine as we did not have a corkscrew and she acted like it was a huge chore. Rooms were very nice, however.

Great hotel

This hotel was really good but it was out of place in the area. It was on the river but the river is very polluted and has rubbish all along its banks so near the hotel is not good. The quality of the hotel is great.

Goed overnachten in apart maar fijn hotel

Het riverside hotel is exact wat je er van ziet op de afbeeldingen: een groot statig hotel volledig barok ingericht. Bij aankomst werden we heel vriendelijk ontvangen door een meneer die nog niet vloeiend Engels sprak, maar met wat gebaren en Google translate kwamen we heel ver. De kamers zijn majestueus en hebben een groot bed, regendouche en fijne faciliteiten. Na onze eerste nacht zagen we veel mieren op de kamer (vanwege het regenweer kwamen ze naar binnen). Het hotel personeel heeft toen binnen vijf minuten een andere kamer voor ons opgemaakt waar we de tweede nacht in konden slapen. Het ontbijtbuffet is royaal: als je van nieuwe dingen proeven houdt kun je je geluk niet op. Er zijn echter ook westerse dingen te eten. Hoewel lang niet alle kamers geboekt waren en het hotel wat leeg was, hebben wij daar geen enkel moment hinder aan ondervonden.
