Visit Msheireb Downtown Doha to celebrate Qatari culture in a new and engaging way. This thoughtfully designed, sustainable downtown project has transformed the cityscape. Visitors and locals alike gather along the district’s pleasant streets and within its shops, cafés, restaurants and hotels. Meaning “a place to drink water” in Arabic, Msheireb lives up to its namesake as a refreshing, renewing source of energy within Qatar’s capital city.

Stroll through beautifully designed neighborhoods and past comfortable homes arranged around courtyard gardens to provide a sense of community. Shop at the upscale department store brimming with high-end boutiques and enjoy a meal at its climate-controlled outdoor dining space.

Browse the stalls of the popular Souq Waqif, modeled on ancient markets where local citizens gathered to buy and sell their wares. Today, the souq is a top place to get a feel for old Doha and its traditions, as well as dine at an array of excellent restaurants.

Visit the four traditional homes that have been converted to heritage museums, known all together as the Msheireb Museums, to learn about the region’s history and architecture. Stop into the Radwani House for an insightful look at Qatari family life over the years. And, while visitors cannot enter the adjacent Al Koot Fort, it’s worth noticing the square-shaped, historic fort and its distinctive towers.

In addition to its residential and mixed-use buildings, Msheireb Downtown Doha contains more than 300 retail shops, several commercial buildings, hotels, a school and three mosques.

Find Msheireb Downtown Doha in the center of Doha, close to the Hamad International Airport. The project lies between West Bay’s commercial towers and Grana Hamad Street’s financial district. There is an expansive parking garage below the development, as well as the largest metro station in Qatar, making getting to and from the district a breeze.
