This is the oldest Disneyland, where you can experience some historic rides. If you have bought your ticket online, take the Monorail from Downtown Disney to go straight to the Tomorrowland inside Disneyland. Please check for prohibited items which you can't bring to the park to avoid you being asked to walk back to hotel / car to leave your items there, or to surrender them to security guards. Selfie stick is not allowed. Also please bring a raincoat if you are planning to take Splash Mountain ride. We got all wet! This Disneyland is open for longer hours until 11pm / midnite. We went there on a Thursday in early January, less crowds. Maximum waiting time is 30 minutes, also make a great use of Fastpass. We ended up trying almost all rides (while we always ran out of time at Disneylands Hongkong and Tokyo)!! The street parades are only from Friday to Sunday though. But they have the Fantasmic show (fountain, lights, fireworks) at 9pm and 10.30pm daily for about 25 minutes, which is great.

Get a several day pass and go first thing in the morning to beat the crowds. Do the rides first and use FastPass. Avoid afternoons and evenings if you don't like crowds and screaming children!
