Dinan stay
Quirky and unusual property, perfectly situated for enjoying Dinan. Having the parking close by is a a real bonus. We thought the church bells might be a problem but quite the opposite. We will miss them!!

In the heart of the old town
The apartment is situated in the very heart of the old town of Dinan and has reserved parking just a stone's throw away. It is possible to park outside the apartment for the few minutes it takes to unload your luggage but finding out how to get there can be a bit problematical due to some streets being randomly closed. It is best to approach things from the Port Dinan side of the old town. Olga, who handled the check in was charming and very helpful, though you will need reasonable French to get the best of things. The apartment is in a very old building and comes with the quirks one would expect but that adds to the charm. It is comfortable for two couples and has all the amenities one needs. Dinan itself did not disappoint with plenty to see and do, not just in the old town (which is beautiful) but also Port Dinan and the wider town itself.

Atmospheric apartment in a great location
The apartment has lots of character and is very comfortable. Great location on one of the squares. Everything is close. Some reviews said it was noisy but we found it very quiet. Slept in the bedroom facing the square and were not disturbed at all by street noise or the church bells. Olga tries hard to communicate if you don’t speak French. It’s a pantomime but we got there! Parking is convenient provided the parking pass is available. The common areas (entrance and stairwell) are quite grimy but the apartment is clean. Stairs are uneven and steep - no problem for us but would not be suitable if you have mobility or balance issues. Overall we very much enjoyed our stay and would stay again if back in town.

A lovely old building in a pretty square, near to good cafes and the tourist sites of Dinan. There is a little balcony which catches the sun, comfortable furniture and good facilities. The wifi was good once I had rebooted it and input the password without the spaces shown on the card.

Atmospheric
The third floor property is well located in a square in the heart of Dinan and has the bonus of a parking space in a nearby underground car park. The square was lively in the evening and the bells tolled in the adjoining church but overall nights were quiet and we slept really well in the comfortable beds. The flat was well equipped and we didn't want for anything. It was easy to access Dinan by foot and there were plenty of places to buy food and a larger supermarket was an easy drive away. The property manager was helpful and informative.

Lots of Unnecessary Problems
This is a delightful and quirky apartment ideally placed in Dinan. Physically, it is well appointed; the owner even provided an additional reading lamp at our request. The creaking, sloping floors were not a problem, nor were bells from the adjacent church or the remote parking. All were expected and added to the unique charisma of the apartment. Unfortunately, when we arrived, the apartment was not clean. Bed linens and towels were satisfactory, as far as we could tell, but the bathroom, kitchen and floors generally needed attention. We purchased cleaning supplies and used them in the bathroom and kitchen. We feel completely justified in claiming we left the place cleaner than we found it. The WiFi didn't work, despite several days of trying different approaches to connect. Over the course of several phone conversations the owner maintained that there was something wrong with our iPhones and suggested we go to the Orange Store in town for help. The store tested the phones and ascertained our phones were fine. The store said the box in the apartment was probably not working right, but that the owner would have to bring it in. The owner was out of town. The TV did not work when we arrived. The hostess (not the owner) who met us worked with someone over the phone for ~30 minutes to get reception. Unfortunately, we never found any stations with english programming (as promised in the listing), or even english subtitles. Overall, physically this is a charming rental, but needs better management.

Really Fun Apartment
The apartment is really unique, the location is fabulous. It would be much easier to check in without having to meet someone, especially since that person didn't speak any English. We had a mechanical issue with the apartment during our stay and the owner fixed it in a very appropriate time frame and communication was good regarding the issue.

Cozy and comfortable, a terrific location in a lovely village.
We enjoyed our stay in this quaint apartment. As others note, there are stairs to access the apartment, and the floors are quite slanted. All of this adds to the charm of an apartment that has experienced much of history. We were greeted by Olga upon our arrival, and she was very helpful, showing us around the apartment, and best of all, riding with us to the parking garage and walking with us back to the apartment, and giving suggestions on local restaurants. We loved the location! Adjacent to the beautiful cathedral, and on a quiet square. We had easy walks to nearby restaurants and shops. We slept quite comfortably in the front bedroom. Shower was fine, water nice & hot! Also nice to have dishwasher, clothes washer, and hair dryer. We ate out most of the time, but the kitchen was fine for our simple breakfasts and snacks. We found it convenient for day trips to Cancale, Fort la Latte, Cap Frehel, Vannes, Josselin, Vitre, and Fougeres. We would recommend this apartment for those wishing to experience the lovely and historic village of Dinan, and all that the region has to offer.

Comfortable, historic charm, very well located
This charming ancient apartment is located just next to the Saint-Sauver Eglise, so close you can hear the organ play and the bells ringing. It's magical. It's a very short walk to an iconic view of the river and port, the Rue Jerzual which goes to the port, and the heart of the historic district with it's quaint shops, galleries and restaurants. There are nice (but not noisy) cafes just on the square in front and we discovered several very good and reasonably priced restaurants on the Rue de la Poissonnerie just a short walk away. There is a weekly antiques market on the square in front and the weekly farmers market on the Place du Champ close by. If you are into yoga, there is a yoga studio downstairs! The apartment is comfortable and very well equipped and decorated. Beautiful art by the owner and local artists is a nice touch making us really feel at home. Dinan is enchanting, staying here made our stay that much more special.

Great week in Dinan
What a quaint apartment, uneven floors squeaky floor boards and church bells. The apartment is within 50m of the shops. Dinan Port is amazing, the old town is beautiful. As we speak no french ! Upon arrival settling was difficult no idea of the location of the car park, but the provided car space was invaluable!! This was a must and a brill addition.Merci

Wonderful place, wonderful location
This is a very nice apartment in a very old (17th century?) building. Know ahead of time it is a bit of a walk up, and narrow stairs. However, it is very charming when you are there and despite being in the center of things very quiet, even at night. It was just perfect for the three of us. Note that the floors are tilting but clearly very solid. The owner will provide a parking space in a nearby garage which is just great. I would stay here again any time and highly recommend this apartment.

Funky but charming
This funky apartment is in the main Plaza of Dinan, a wonderful location to walk to everything. The living room is nicely furnished and the main bedroom very comfortable. The bathroom is brand new and although it has some design flaws (you have to leave the soap on the sink outside of the shower!!). The owners were very responsive to a minor leak and fixed the problem immediately. There is free parking in a secure indoor parking garage for those with a car.

Characterful nd well located but not noisy. A good space for four.
It was an intriguing approach up twisty stairs to a well equipped and comfortable apartment. It was a good space for a four but would be a bit cramped for six and possibly easier to manage with slightly older children - 7+- ours were under 6. The welcome was friendly and flexible and we had everything we needed including a cot. Dinan is a great place to explore and it was helpful being in the centre and able to park.

Cozy Apartment, Fantastic Location
We loved our week-long stay in this apartment. The location couldn't be better: We looked over a gorgeous square, were steps away from the middle of town, steps away from a gorgeous park looking over the river, and a quick walk to the Port. The beds were comfortable and the shower, good. The only suggestion for improvement would be more amenities to welcome us — the apartment was out of coffee, no soap in the bathroom, etc. It's always a nice extra step to help us settle in!

Lovely apartment, perfect location.
Located right in the middle of the historical center of Dinan, this charming apartment is comfortable, cosy and very well appointed. Overlooking an attractive little square with two pubs and the surprisingly beautiful basilica. Close to a variety of shops, creperies and restaurants but pleasantly quiet, we thorougherly enjoyed our stay here.

Great location
The apartment is on the second floor accessed by a typical narrow wooden staircase. First impressions may be off putting as it is quite dark - more detail later. The floor has a pronounced slope. The kitchen is small but very well equipped and everything works well. The bathroom boasts a very sophisticated shower which has many options. For the less adventurous, conventional showering is of course an option. Both bedrooms are a good size and our bed was extremely comfortable. The apartment is in a fantastic location opposite a church in the oldest part of Dinan and all the attractions this wonderful town has to offer are within easy walking distance. A great plus is the pass supplied to the nearby undercover secure car park. Our only grouse is the lighting in the living room, during our stay only two of the six spotlights in the living room were working which left a very unbalanced lighting experience. Nevertheless, we did enjoy our stay here. Mary & David Stephenson, Manchester.

A great place to stay
We enjoyed our stay at the apartment very much. The location in the small square with the basilica right outside the balcony was especially nice. The kitchen was well equipped, however the oven was in need of a good clean and an extra hand towel would have been useful. The apartment had two good sized bathrooms with very comfy beds. The floor slopes in the front room which is a feature of old properties and adds to the ambiance. Two points which were disappointing was that there was no milk or a small starter pack in the fridge as it was late when we arrived and the shops were closed. The second point was the disappointment at seeing no cider in the fridge after reading other reviews, being a home cider producer I was looking forward to a pint on arrival.

Charming and quaint
We loved our stay in Dinan! The apartment was just lovely! The beds were comfortable and the owner went above and beyond to help us with a special request. The apartment is well stocked with all the basic pantry items you will need. It had fabulous utensils for cooking. It was large enough for us to just hang out and relax on the rainy days that we had. It was close enough to the main streets of old town for convenience, but far enough apart to be quiet. The bells at the church do ring at set times during the day. We loved hearing them. There is a park just steps away too. There are two pubs downstairs. We popped into one of them and played games while we waited out the rain...Almost made me think we were in Ireland. We would stay here again and believe it is 5 stars!

Comfortable apartment in the heart of beautiful town
We had a wonderful stay in Dinan. Hedge provided all the information we needed to find the apartment easily and her friend Olga was there to welcome us and show us around and point us in the direction of the easy to find parking. The apartment is up a couple of flights of stairs and has wonderful views over the square and the cathedral. The kitchen was well equipped and the bedroom comfortable. The bathroom is modern and light with a fantastic shower. We could not have asked for a better location from which to explore all of delightful Dinan with its plentiful restaurants, port and lovely walking trails. It's also an excellent base to explore Saint Malo, Dinard and more of the coast of Brittany. Thank you so much for a great trip - we hope to come back some day!

Dinan painters apartment.
The apartment is situated in the heart of Dinan and has a wonderful view of the basilica of St Saviour. It is located close to the bars, cafes and shops and has underground parking close by which is included in the price. The apartment was very well laid out, clean and well equipped and had everything we needed for our 2 week stay. It has two nice sized bedrooms with comfortable beds that sleeps 4. There is also a pullout bed-settee as well. There is a small balcony that looks out over the st Saviour square and to say it is so close the apartment is quiet (apart from the church bells which is expected in France). The bathroom had a fantastic shower which even had a radio in it! All appliances were new and easy to use. We used the oven and hob regularly and also the washing machine. Overall we would give this apartment 8/10 and would return.

A comfortable stay in the heart of historic Dinan
The kind hostess oriented us to the cozy, lovely apartment and it's amenities. The home is well furnished with comfortable beds and good linens. The kitchen was well Stocked with cidre in the fridge as a welcome. This is a historic home with wonderful broad Floor planks that lean a little as might be expected. Best of all were the views out the Window of the historic cathedral that has it's Origins in the 12th century and the intimate Place Saint Saveur with it's lovely medieval Buildings. Parking in a secure underground garage within steps of the place saint saveur was furnished by the hosts. We loved Dinan and this apartment and would have loved to stay a lot longer.

Wonderful old suite in the historic center.
Very central location and fully equipped kitchen, very new updated bathroom. Small veranda overlooking the church square. The stove proved to be a challenge as there were no instructions and the owner spoke no english but we figured it all out.
