"This was a complete mess. To start, they forgot about our reservation and had to put us in a temporary room for two days. During this time, there was a blackout that no one thought to update us on. Our official room had a roach infestation and, when I told the host, he had a fumigation company come and spray while our bags were in there (of course, this ended up with roaches running into one of our bags). "Coming back from a beutifull 15 days at Villa Soleil. I can not say enough praise for all the team at the villa that made our holiday worthwhile. Everything was spot on and the made us truly feel at home. Communication with Wolfgang as the owner was also great, nothing was too much a problem and arranged also a fantastic safari stay. "We loved our stay. Villa was beautiful, host went above and beyond to make our stay perfect! Great location and very secure!! "

My only criticism is the with some of the listing particulars - Breakfast is not included, toiletries only extend to bars of soap, and the bar was not open due to the fact they had 'residents' and wanted to avoid noise. Apart from this misrepresentation I would happily recommend these apartments."

"The property wasn't very clean and had the personal effects of the home owner in piles on the various patios. There was a pool slide that didn't seem safe to use near the pool with wasps living in and the pool wasn't very clean. There was no drinking water provided. The fridge was not plugged in or cold. There was a dog on the property that was not listed in the description. I tried to receive pictures of the additional bedrooms from the host for months before hand but she never sent them and...

"Beautiful property and rooms, friendly and helpful staff. Overall, the food could do with improvement, for example nachos were literally Doritos or something similar, with nothing on them, and everything else mixed into a cup to dip into. Saying that, food at Zanzibar, spice route and some of the breakfast options were very good. Lots of quirks though! Only one restaurant was open for lunch, and even being low season, food took up to 1 hr 45 minutes to arrive, with no real explanation. Same when their system showed us checking out a day sooner than actual, no real reason was provided as to why. Lots of cats, many are strays or kittens, and all should be spayed or neutered. "

"Beautiful all inclusive resort on Diani Beach, about an hour drive from Mombasa International Airport. I had the sea facing Deluxe Room which was absolutely beautiful and spacious. A shuttle is available for a fee to pick you up or drop off at airport. Days have low tide so you can walk on the beach. Resort has Pullman Tours office that can book off base excursions as well as book a snorkeling trip to the sand bar during low tide. I recommend the Mombasa city tour as they take you to the Akamba Market that has 2500 wood carving artists that sell their crafts at excellent prices and most of the money goes directly to the artist. Meals include buffets with food and desserts from around the world. Egg stations available in the morning for scrambles/omelettes and pasta stations at lunch/dinner as well as many other foods. Gym available for a daily fee. Recommend getting a massage at the Spa! Rooms are seaside so you hear ocean roar while receiving an amazing massage. Resort offers several pools- one of which is an adults only. Overall amazing stay. Would stay again- highly recommend! "

"We upgraded to stay in a villa closest to the beach. Well worth the extra money! The resort is located right on Diani Beach. The beach and ocean views are breathtaking. There are many activities offered to the guests. We went scuba diving, glass bottom boat ride, rode a camel, jet skiing and played volleyball. The food and drinks were very good. You won't be hungry or thirsty during your stay. The staff are amazing. Edward from the front desk was very helpful and a pleasure to meet."

"Great property. Excellent food and friendly staff Property needs some love. Showing signs of wear and tear. Rooms very average. Comfortable but definitely needs to be spruced up. "This resort was the most Magical and Peaceful place I've ever stayed. The staff deserves a raise because of how attentive and nice they were. The breakfast was so delicious and there was endless options to choose from. I enjoyed my stay so much I didn't want to leave the property. The only suggestion I would have is to offer dessert on their menu. But I would recommend Tombo House to anyway who wants to enjoy nature and wants to get away from the boring ambience of chain hotels."
