"A beautiful hotel with grand high ceilings and an eccentric historical townhouse charm. Perfectly located right on the shore of Loch Maree, with private lake access. Our room was peaceful and quiet, offering breathtaking views of the lake. The host was exceptionally friendly, warm and accommodating, adding a welcoming atmosphere to both the hotel and its cosy bar. He went out of his way to meet our requests, making us feel truly cared for. Easily our best experience on the NC500. "
"Gairloch harbor very charming and so was the Inn, and dinner was pub style but very delicious whole Cornish sole! Breakfast was basic but ok. Staff very helpful "

"This is not just a place with a bed and a bath, but was an experience. It starts with the peaceful setting that is a bit off the beaten path. Next are all the bright interior colors that have been used throughout. There are a lot of interesting pictures and items on the walls that give one the impression that you are a visitor in someone’s home. Of course the bed was fine, the hot water plentiful, and the washer and dryer handy. My short stay here was very nice and added to my experiences in Scotland. I hope to get visit again."
"We stayed at Tingle Creek due to its location to the Isle of Skye. We didn’t check our hotel reservations as closely as we should have, and had some tense moments when we realized that we would not arrive before the desk closed at 9:00pm. After several failed attempts to contact the hotel, we resigned ourselves to the fact we would likely have to try to find different accommodation (we had just hiked the Old Man of Storr, were drenched right thru and it was becoming obvious that there were not just hotels on every corner, and we had already paid, so we were panicking a little), but we drove to Tingle Creek anyway, and were met by an absolute sweetheart of a man, who knew who I was immediately, and assured me that even if we hadn’t arrived until 11:00, he would’ve left our key with instructions for us!
We checked into our cozy room, with an amazing sunset view of the water, but there was little time to enjoy, as we had not yet had supper, as the ‘Old Man’ had taken longer than expected.
We set out to find food and it was apparent right away that food options around Kyle are very limited after 8:00pm. We settled on gas station cuisine to get by until morning.
If you are a North American traveller, don’t wait to check in or eat supper when visiting these parts of Scotland if you want a warm bed and a hot meal.
We awoke to the stunning view from our hotel window, and a delicious breakfast. Would definitely stay here again! Be sure to read ALL the information before reserving.

"The hotel was ok for an old hotel probably in need of some decoration and updating but fairly comfortable. Definitely not the worst hotel i have stayed by any means however not the cheapest either priced a bit high for the room i had."
"The hosts are extremely friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. The hikes they suggested were stunningly beautiful. The area is quiet and relaxed..one of our highlights of our 2week stay"

"Great, comfortable room with a beautiful view across the loch. A pity that the left window wasn’t cleaned and was covered in salt spray.
Restaurant menu was unexciting but our fish and chips were fresh and well cooked."
