"The breakfast that was included was a good smorgasbord spread . But dinner menu was quite expensive for food that the average person would not eat and not very extensive."
"Thoroughly enjoyed my stay here, the cabin was delightful, very comfortable, and very inviting. Everything you needed was there. You just have to be prepared with regard to food, because after 3 pm the nearest food available it’s in Sheffield 30 minutes away. However, I took food with me so it wasn’t a problem. I could happily stay there for a few days for rest and relaxation. It’s also close to other attractions like cradle Mountain."
"Just as advertised. Beautiful.
All cottages are set with private outlooks. Each cottage is very different too. We stayed in the hobbit. Which is 2 bedrooms. One side looks out to garden and a dam teeming with frogs. The other side you can sit and watch alphas, sheep and some of the local wallabies.
The cottages are 10-15 minutes to Mole Creek which has a pub and service station. Chudleigh is 10 minutes but only has the famous honey shop and a general come everything shop (very. Limited). Deloraine is the “big smoke” about 20 minutes-you can get everything you need there.
Highly recommend for a peaceful break."
"Beautiful House in a spectacular setting. Very good communication with the host. I will definitely stay here again as it’s such a beautiful surrounding area."
"The Silver Ridge Retreat is a family-owned accommodation facility nestled in a tranquil rolling hills right at the foot of Mount Roland, a majestic 1234 metres high mountain rising above the Kentish municipality in the picturesque Cradle Country region of Tasmania. The property is a hidden gem that deserves a six-star rating. The spacious property successfully preserved its rural and organic character boasting nine fully equipped and contemporary two-bedroom cabins. We booked a studio unit in the main residential building . Thank you John for upgrading us to a larger self-contained cabin that had everything we needed to remain isolated from the busier townships nearby like Sheffield. There is a Bosch dishwasher, Bosch electric cooktop and oven, as well as a large refrigerator to store an ample supply of food and drinks for our two-night stay. John, our host and owner of the property, is accommodating and amiable ensuring not only our enjoyment of his property but also our safety. The panoramic views are breathtaking and stunning from every angle. The retreat is by itself a truly unique travel destination because as an integral part of your retreat accommodation, the property offers a Silver Mine and Rainforest Walk that takes you to an historic mining cave dating back to the 1870s. This property is a must-stay and must-see, a perfect detour en route to the Cradle Mountain."
"Lovely location, 1 of only 2 units. Great communication and check in process.
