Lake St Clair Lodge

Lake St Clair Lodge

10/10 Excellent
"Our cabin was mostly clean apart from a few dust webs that only showed up when the lights were on. All the important surfaces, (benchtop/shower/toilet) were spotless. Bed was comfortable and warm. Lovely lass in the reception/cafe/dining area of the lodge pretty much doing everything as it's 'off season' so very quiet. Had a lovely chat with the owner, Michael, before dinner re his history at the lodge and his signature branded rum, gin, wine etc. The lodge is very welcoming with a warming fireplace, antiques and leather chairs adding to the alpine ambience. Well worth a stay in you are in this area."

"Excellent spot to experience some snow! Off the grid living but had all the essentials. Nothing beats a wood heater in winter, room for kids to run around and play outside, 2 minutes walk to the lake."

The Great Lake, one of the largest freshwater lakes in Australia, dominates the scenery here, offering stunning views and direct access to outdoor activities.Families often find this area ideal due to the wealth of nature-based activities easily accessible. Many accommodations here offer self-catering facilities, which are convenient for families. For couples seeking a peaceful retreat, staying in a lodge or cabin near the Great Lake offers a romantic escape. The conditions are great for fly-fishing, a popular activity in the region. For solo travellers seeking solitude and nature, late spring (November) or early autumn (April) can also be good options.
