I liked the area this HIE&S was located. The stafff at the front desk was friendly. The room condition was ok. The cleaning was pretty bad. The bathroom had quite a few pieces of hair from prior guests in and around the shower (which is a major ick for me).

It was not a very good experience, when you walk in to this hotel , the smell is not pleasant , and we were a group , some of the rooms didn’t smell nice either , the staff of the breakfast area are not very nice, they are not friendly at all, you can feel that then don’t wanna work, the noises in the hotel, you can hear everything, of the room besides you flush the toilet , you can hear it , kids crying , if you are a difficult sleeper , don’t book this hotel , Breakfast options were very limited , we stayed for two nights and they have only scrambled eggs, no protein. Pancakes and some bagels and white bread with spreadable cheese, the first day we had flavoured yogurt option , second day , no yogurt at all . I won’t book this hotel again .

The staff here are lazy. The guy in the front desk named Raul was in the back on his phone. I kept calling and calling trying to check in over the phone nobody would answer. For breakfast the next day a bold headed ghetto lady was extremely rude. She kept yelling at the Indian customers that the oven was broken that breakfast was limited. There was no hot breakfast. The bagels she was putting out she was taking them out with her bare hands. She did not even have gloves on. Really terrible experience that lady should be fired.

No one was at checkout to get receipt. Could hear people talking, tried to get attention, they completely ignored the front desk. Extremely noisy from the room above me. Complained, noise stopped for a few moments then started again. Have called several times to get receipt, no one will amswer the phone.

I have never stayed in a more dirty hotel. The floors look like they have never been cleaned. There was hair in our shower, stains on our bed, and all of the surfaces needed to be wiped again. The elevator was out and they did not serve breakfast. We cancelled our second night and went to different hotel. I will never stay at a holiday inn express again after this experience.

This was quite possibly the worst customer service I have ever had at a hotel. When checking in, no smile or hi, no information on pool times, bfast times, it wasn like talking to a wall. There were no towels in the pool area. I went to the desk, she asked how many towels I needed. Ok, so no stocking of towels at all, just give me the amt I need??? Everyone else will have to come and ask also. She is clearly bored, but shouldn't be! There was no body wash in the bathroom and hair around areas. How do you not make sure the shower has body wash?! In the shower and find out. In the morning during bfast, there was no one around. Milk was low, no coffee, no pancake mix (the bag needed to be changed), no one around. Ask the front desk person, she said oh he is around here somewhere. Um what??? Just lazy lazy people who work there! She didn't assist, flat affect, just rude. The empty body wash in the bathroom was unbelievable. The hair also, so obviously the cleaning people didn't do their job! There is a Wal-Mart and Meijer next to the hotel, which is nice. The road to get back in the area where the hotel is, is under construction, but no biggie. The customer service was so atrocious, I would give this even less than terrible. Just unbelievable.

Property sleeps 8 people and 4 will freeze you in lower area. It will give you a cold it is so cold and no way to warm the area up. The laundry smells like a sewage and hard to breath. There were very few face cloths and towels and laundry room was full of clothes upon our arrival. The beds appeared to be slept in they were wrinkled with body indentions. The parking was horrible. Parking is off of an alley and a gigantic pole in front of driveway where you had to park.
