"Being right by the U was very convenient. The staff were very helpful with a last minute reservation change during Oktoberfest. They also were able to bring a space heater and extra blankets for the cold. "

"Stayed here with friends whilst visiting Munich for Oktoberfest. Would definitely recommend this place if looking for a cheaper place that’s a bit further out of the city (10-15 min walk to nearest U/S-Bahn station then 10ish minutes to the centre e.g Marienplatz). Rooms were very clean, the beds were comfy. Only really interacted with staff at check in due to being out often and checking out very early but they were very friendly and helpful. Not many amenities available other than shower/bathroom bits would be the only downside for us but we didn’t really notice it being out all the time. I found the area was quiet as well just off the main road so that was appreciated!"

"Just steps from the train station! Desk clerk was nervous about her English; we pointed out that our German is zero. Looking over her shoulder, I noticed a glass doored refrigerator, with beer. We'd just got off a long train trip (four trains, and a couple alternate itineraries due to impossible connection times). She sold us a large bottle of dunkel and opened it for us at the desk. Our moods immediately improved! Breakfast was good and extensive. Dining room is very nice. Actually, everything about this place was nice. I booked at the last minute, found this hotel and paid more than I had budgeted. I'd recommend it though. "

"Lovely new hotel! I stayed here during Oktoberfest and the hosts were very nice and accommodating. Loved the spacious room layout and felt right at home here. It was helpful to have a small kitchen for making meals but I really loved the breakfast, too! I appreciated that you could also do your laundry here for a small fee, which helped me a lot. Would definitely stay here again. It's away from the city center and in a quiet safe area and easily reachable via public transit. Thank you so much for having me! "

"We love the Wunderlocke! This is our second stay, in apartments with a different layout than last time, and we were perfectly comfortable and pleased with the accommodations. As I've mentioned before in my last review, the only area of improvement - - and it's small but important - - is that they add shower curtains. The bathrooms are modern and adequately equipped, but the shower is wide open and the entire bathroom floods, no matter how careful you are about angling the shower head. "
