"We had a wonderful stay. The local town is beautiful and incredibly peaceful, making it a perfect place to relax. We ate at two restaurants in the village, both of which served excellent food and were very welcoming. The nearby zoo was magnificent, and seeing the pandas was a real highlight. The house itself was spotless and exactly as shown in the photos, and the hosts were incredibly welcoming and courteous, going out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. "Pros: Gîte charmant et parfaitement au calme , avec le plaisir de sortir sur « son jardin ». Très bien equipé, et avec des équipements de qualité. Les hôtes sont très attentifs , ,accueillants, chaleureux, à la fois discrets et de bon conseil si besoin. D’une propreté remarquable, chaud (nous étions début avril) et aucune fausse note dans les essentiels (comme l’eau chaude et la pression idéale sous la douche) Un petit souci de wifi quand nous étions là mais je suis persuadée qu’il sera résolu."

"We stayed 2 nights, mom and teen daughter. Stayed in a queen cabin. First the goods - the air conditioning on our cabin was exceptional and bed super comfy. We slept well in the heat. The staff are ALL very friendly and helpful. Pool was perfect temperature for a dip in the heat. They had poolside drink service too. Honestly, I can’t say enough about the very good and friendly service. Location is fantastic, very close to Blois. You need a car Points to consider - the wifi in our cabin was practically non-existent. If you have to work here, plan to rely on cell service. As others have mentioned, the shower is poorly designed and if you aren’t very careful, water will stream everywhere. I noticed the floor is warped in several places and I expect it’s from sitting water from shower. Breakfast was not excellent. Reminded me more of a Holiday Inn Express than a beautiful French countryside hotel. Maybe my expectations were too high. We ate at the restaurant one evening. We enjoyed it, staff very accommodating."

"This is a guest house rather than a standard hotel, although it has standard amenities. Situated in the countryside near Chenonceau castle, the property is located in a former mill house bordering the Cher river, which some rooms overlook. The house is surrounded by a large garden, with a swimming pool, pétanque court, ping pong and access to paths along the riverside. The staff is welcoming, informed, and extremely helpful, especially with advice about restaurants and activities in the area. Breakfast is generous, mostly made in-house and sourced locally, including honey, jams, and local charcuterie. There is a living room with teas, coffees, and infusions available fee at all hours, with chilled local beers for a fee."

"A very pleasant stay at Les Rives du Cher. The hosts were very friendly and helpful, both speaking excellent English. Our room had a beautiful view from the balcony, and it was clean and well maintained. The breakfast was lovely. The hotel is very picturesque, with pleasant gardens, parking for all rooms, and is only a 10min walk from the town centre, with it's historic buildings, and plenty of places to eat. We will be returning..."
