"Be aware you have to pay in cash and it may be an issue withdrawing money, as the nearest ATM is about 20km away. The owner is helpful though and does her best to accommodate and make sure you have plenty of information about JI and the surrounding areas."

"With a building that looks more like a work of art nestled in a forest, the resort is a unique experience! You can see that the building is a little aged and in need of some maintenance, but nothing that would lose the shine of the place."

"This hotel has a wonderful location, just past Jose Ignacio. Unfortunately it is now rundown and unkempt. The grounds, which were lovely when the hotel first opened, are now a disaster. Doubt they have seen a gardener all summer. There were big black ants traveling up the walls outside our room. Huge dead water bugs lay on the floor of the restaurant bathroom. Quite unappealing, to say the least. This hotel could be fantastic, but needs a lot of TLC, and it is not receiving it. "
