"We arrived early and could check in. Used pool and jacuzzi overlooking Perugia. Lovely and relaxing at the end of the trip. First impressions of this ancient castle did not disappoint. Staff were welcoming and friendly. Hotel and grounds were impressive. Room was very comfortable. Had a drink outside before dinner. Still taking it all in. Dinner was incredible. Had a great nights sleep and breakfast was a huge choice of self serve items. Lots of home made unusual choices. Loved our unique castle...

"Hotel Porta Nuovo Assisi - Great location - So close to bus stop - Breakfast was good, lots of choices - We left early and they gave us a grab bag/breakfast, waiting for us by the front, what was inside was surprisingly good. - Staff is very nice - Room was nice and clean - Has fridge, no microwave, no coffee maker - There is a grocery store near by. - Wifi has good signal"

"I was walking St Francis Way and stopped at Gubbio. A beautiful small city on the walk to Assisi. The hotel is excellent and the accommodations are superb. Breakfast is also superb. Nothing to complaint about. "

"We arrived at approximately 14:30 and there was no one there to check us in. We have to request the ice cream store employee next door to call them so that we can check in. There is also no elevator in the the hotel and we have to take 3 flights of stairs so it is not recommended for seniors. "
