"After initial booking, don't expect much more help from the booking agency. And if French is not your spoken language, hire or ask a french speaking friend to help with booking the vendors. The recommended caterers are ok. Book the times 30 minutes earlier to ensure it's on time. And make sure ALL details are in writing and explored, or you may be disappointed."

"What a lovely gite this is. A hidden gem in rural Charente, and we absolutely loved our stay here at Chocolate Box Cottage. It is a beautiful spot. And if you want a quiet location, this is it. A real get away from it gite. It is wonderful, and we didn’t want to leave. "Owner was super friendly and made good provision for our arrival. Property is as described and suited to a couple travelling with a dog. Quiet lanes and local footpath between fields made for a very pleasant evening walk. St-Claud a short distance for the essential patisseries."

"The house is large, comfortabel and has everything jou need. Large garden with lots of cosy places to sit. Friendly owners who live next door (enough privacy). Large pool, pool toys, pooltable. Supermarkt at about 15 minutes. Enough to do and see. Great place to spend your holiday! "
