"Five of us stayed very comfortably. We could have easily had twice that many. There was a misunderstanding about towels and such. It was entirely my fault. This was my first experience with a self-service place and I didn’t read the instructions completely. Complicated by a bit of a language barrier. Otherwise, everything was perfect."

"This is a perfect holiday location....the apartment has everything you need & was spotlessly clean. Gengenbach is probably the prettiest town we saw in the Black Forest & a fantastic base to explore the region. We stayed 11 nights & used the train on the Konus card scheme every day bar 1.....great for taking the stress away & having a German beer or 2! Anja was fantastic in welcoming us & giving lots of tips on where to eat etc....she was always at the end of the phone if we had a question....

"Das Haus ist perfekt für Naturliebhaber und Hundebesitzer. Das Grundstück ist eingezäunt und im Wald gelegen. Man hört zwar die Strasse, dafür gibt es keine Nachbarn oder Passanten direkt am Garten, ist daher zu empfehlen für Leute, die Wert auf Privatsphäre legen. Der Innenraum ist sauber und bietet alles was man braucht (moderner Backofen/Herd, Spülmaschine, Waschmaschine und Internet). "We had a nice and peaceful stay here at Waldhaus Lukas. The garden is fantastic and we really enjoyed the house as well. The amount of things to do in the area is amazing, we really enjoyed ourselves! We can only recommend people to come here, it was fantastic."

"Wir waren sehr enttäuscht von diesem Zimmer. In der Anzeige heißt es Apartment in Wirklichkeit ist es allerdings nur ein größeres Doppelzimmer. Das Zimmer liegt an einer lauten Durchgangsstraße und ist schlecht isoliert, zudem hört man auch noch jedes Wort der Nachbarn durch die Zimmerdecke. Die Einrichtung sieht auf den ersten Blick nett aus, ist aber sehr billig. Das Schlafsofa war selbst für unser Kind zu hart und durchgelgen. Finger weg!"

"Nice quiet village to stay in. Most everything we needed was there, just missing a few things in the kitchen but we managed without. No printed house rules or instructions that we could find. Luckily we've lived in Germany the past 10 years (we're Americans) so we know what to expect for trash, quiet hours, etc."

The kitchen was adequate, washer and dryer were so nice to have. The chance to gather together in the large room was the biggest need for us, and we spent a lot of time there.
