"This place was great. It's dog friendly and very easy to get in and out of the room without having to walk your dog down a long hallway and/or an elevator. Since you can drive right up to your door, it's also very accessible. The location is great. We were there for wine country, and it's nestled right in downtown Jacksonville, so an easy drive to the Applegate Valley, or you can drive a very short distance to the cute downtown area for wine bars and restaurants. "Beautiful grounds, unique historic hotel, friendly staff —even an adorable welcome bag (with cute bandana, water dish, treats and poo bags!) for our doggo. Beautiful rooms, nice dining, art deco decor. Special! "

"I was under the impression that we would have an in suite bathroom, but that was not the case. A minor inconvenience. The room was comfortable, with a nice view of the river. Breakfast was simple, but if you want a hot breakfast, there is a cafe called The Roost right next door. It was a nice, relaxing weekend. If we go again, I will be sure the confirm that the room is self contained."
