LGBT Welcoming Hotels in New Caledonia

"We really enjoyed our stay here. Staff at the front desk were always so lovely and spoke great English. Room was great and cleaners did a good job keeping it clean, we got it quite sandy one day and they did a great job cleaning. Beach was AMAZING, better than any of the beaches visited in New Caledonia including private beach at the Hilton resort. Free kayak and other sports equipment was great and the man to book these through was really nice and even saw dolphins at the beach one day and came running out to tell everyone. Wifi wasn’t great, was slow and would disconnect but when you have a beach so great right there you won’t want it. Staff at restaurants were a little bit of of let down, due to location of lodge and not having much on the island you are left with no choice to go to the restaurant at the resort, there was no menu and each time we wanted to order something the staff would just say one or two things they could cook and didn’t know the price, they weren’t too friendly and didn’t speak any English apart from one really lovely lady. We stayed for two nights and spent three days doing nothing else but sitting on the loungers at the beach and swam. Would definitely go back and highly recommend to anyone else "

"Chateau Royalw was wonderful. It is kept spotlessly clean and the staff go out of there to help you with anything you need. The pool area is beautiful and the bar will come by with free mini drinks or fruit to help you keep cool. The spa is excellent, we had two different treatments and they were both worth every penny. Rooms are very nice and comfortable. We had a partial ocean view. The balcony was tilted downward, and pretty small so we never really used it. My only complaint is they were putting in a new gate so the area to go down to the water had an ugly orange temporary fence and plywood, but by the time we left the new fence was almost inn. I would definitely come back to this property again. "

"The room was simple and small but very clean. Hair dryer is not equipped in the room but you can borrow it at the front desk. The staff is nice and helpful. Distant from the main beach area."

"A beautiful location almost surrounded by water. Service was excellent and the staff are very friendly. The problem for us was the room lighting; it was a like being in a twilight zone ! It was too dim to read a book! The other problem was that we were unable to access the Internet on our i-Pads in the room, though the phone connection was good."
