"We were looking for a quiet place to stay where we could explore some of Spain's picturesque countryside. Gaztelubidea in the charming village of Bernedo provided an ideal accommodation. Our two children loved their twin bedroom with the little mezzanine area above, the beds were super comfortable, the bedlinen and towels were of great quality, the washing machine and tumble dryer both modern and working well, and the dishwasher (with dishwasher tablets) was an added bonus! "Heerlijk rustig mooie omgeving"

"A really high standard property with all the home comforts. It was a heatwave when we stayed 34C plus and despite no AC it didn’t need it as the walls are 2 feet thick. The host went out of her way to provide anything we needed and answered our questions immediately. She even provided an electric fan and a welcome pack of necessities lime milk, cereal, bread and even cake! Estibaliz was charming, accomodating and even didn't mind me practicing my Basque and Spanish. Thank you!! "

"Excellent location, very clean"

"Pleasant historical Parador, with nice garden. Comfortable room with nice bathroom, no view as in standard room at the back. Helpful and friendly reception and bar staff."

"Beautiful location!"

"Stayed here while walking the Camino Ignaciano. Surprisingly clean, comfortable room for a highway trucker hotel, not too noisy, convenient restaurant downstairs, would recommend. Official Camino route (San Roman de San Milan) only 1 km away. Only regret was no bathtub, only shower but very good and reasonable price."

"We had a great vacation, the house is beautiful and clean, with a nice view over the mountains. And Fernando is so kind."
