"We visited frim out of state for the first time. We stayed in the lodge. You can tell they are older buildings but kept very clean. Our room was very roomy and comfortable. It would be nice to have a little mini fridge to keep cold drinks or left overs from the restaurant but otherwise it was a good stay."

"We have never stayed at this State Park lodge before but we will go back. The architecture is similar to the other State Park lodges, the rustic nature wood and stone construction which is beautiful and amazing. The lodge may be a little dated but well maintained and the rooms have received some updates. The food at the lodge was fresh and hot and made to order. The view of Buckhorn Lake from the main dining room is amazing! The employees were very friendly and knowledgeable of the area and...

"Weekend stay didn't disappoint! Great location near the Rough River Dam, with a view from our room that was absolutely beautiful. Check-in was fast, and the both the lodge and room were clean. A highlight was an American Eagle flying by the lodge during our morning coffee on the balcony. We will definitely be back!"
