"This was the perfect base for us. The place was a great size for the four of us, everything we needed. Great location for being close to Whangārei town but also easy access to the heads for exploring, walks and swims. Place was clean and fresh. Nice space to spend sone time. We plan to be back sometime. "

"Absolutely loved this beautiful Lodge! The Breakfast & Dinner was excellent! My only advice is to make sure the shower control pads are cleaned properly & onetap in my bathroom was broken. "Although the motel dates probably from the mid 1980’s, it is clean, and comfortable, with a kitchen comprising of an electric stove top, microwave, toaster, kettle and fridge. All were in excellent condition, and the property is well maintained. Whilst we did not use the pool, it looked clean and inviting. There are only 12 units, in a quiet street only 5 mins walk from a New World and Woolworths, with some excellent cafes close by, and a short walk to the Harbourside area and town. Highly recommend for the price and would definitely stay again"
