"We were not aware that this house is located amidst an outdoor wedding venue that includes a pond with fountain, a gazebo, a deck on the edge of the pond, and a huge yard. It is in the country but close to the places we wanted to visit - Terre Haute, West Lafayette, Center Point, the nearby covered bridges and Turkey Run State Park. It is idyllic and peaceful. "I have stayed here a few times and for the most part it’s not a bad place to stay. It’s cheap and I don’t expect much when I stay cheap. It’s a bit run down and this time the room had no water pressure but that’s unusual. I wish they would remove the plexiglass at the front desk. "

"Used this property as our home base for exploring Turkey Run State Park and Shades State Park. Great trails and landscapes at each place. Also found out about the many Parke County Covered Bridges — did not see all 31!Property was walking distance to many restaurants and shopping possibilities."
