"Beautiful old chateau. Very comfy beds. No one around when we arrived. Had to wander the grounds looking for someone to check us in. We were offered a soft drink when the lady finally arrived. Never met the owners during our two days stay. We presumed they must be on holiday. Previous reviews were not the same as our experience. "

"A fantastic couple of days and nights were spent at Chateau Vary. The property is glorious, the amenities are fabulous, the hospitality from the lovely owners was fantastic. Breakfast and dinner was beautiful. Definitely recommend and definitely coming back. "

"Generally everything was to our expectations or better - facilities, access, location, owners ... but the overhanging trees made the kitchen very dark and the external seating too cool to use (noting that generally the weather was not very warm)"

"Nous étions 6 adultes et le gîte est remarquable de praticité (parking, terrain, maison vaste, 2 sdb/wc). On aurait juste un petit bémol sur la vaisselle, calculée au plus juste et qui manque un peu de coupelles, poêles/casseroles si on aime cuisiner et préparer sans faire de lave-vaisselle à chaque repas. Audrey était très réactive et nous avons passé un super moment au gîte tout en découvrant Angers à à peine 15/20 mn c’était idéal. Nous reviendrons avec grand plaisir. "

"Had a very comfortable 2 weeks at this venue. The space is both very functional, comfortable and beautiful. No corners have been cut, the use of wood throughout is very pleasing. There is a bakery and supermarket very close by but you’ll be back to the serenity of the terrace and garden in no time at all. Stan is a great host, very considerate and nothing was too much trouble. Would highly recommend a stay and I will look to book again!"
