Room was very nice. Good location. Only knock against it was the breakfast. I didn't care that we would have had to purchase the breakfast, it was more about the options that were available to purchase. I don't mind paying for breakfast at all, but if I am it should feel more premium

Room and staff were great. The bad thing was, I thought all Best Westerns offered free breakfast…not this one! They offer breakfast, but it will cost you. Was not a fun surprise. For that reason I won’t be back, I’ll go back to staying at the Hampton or Home2Suites across the street when in town where I won’t have the added cost of paying for breakfast.

This hotel was clean and well kept. The only 2 things we did not like is that you are unable to have room temperature lower then 68 degrees even when you call regarding room being too warm and they do not offer free breakfast with room. They had a very nice outdoor area to enjoy. Pool was small and so very crowded and not enjoyable No hot tub.

A friend and I like to attend the first day of the Iowa state fair so we look for a hotel with easy access to the main highway. The Ankeny BW meets that requirement. This was our second time there. Last year the breakfast was free. This year the coffee was free.

This is our 3rd summer visiting Adventureland and we always stay here! It’s extremely clean, the pool is small but water is a great temperature (lukewarm!) and the beds are comfortable! Great price too! Can’t be beat!

This was a great place for long distance travelers. Walking distance to restaurant. It is clean and comfortable with a lovely outdoor sitting area.

Very disappointed that there was not a continental breakfast. When you pay over $100 a night the least they could do is feed you breakfast. Our bathroom vent looked like it hadn't been cleaned since opening day, don't know how the air could flow or if it even did. Shower area needs a lot of work - peeling away from the wall, caulk missing, and water pressure not there. Every night the hallway was very noisy - people slamming doors(opening and closing), people gathered and talked very loud.

Checked in and noticed the common areas were hot and they had fans everywhere. Went to my room and the A/C was on to 68 but the room was 73. Turned the fan up and unpacked. In the 15 min the temp had gone up 3 degrees to 76. Told the front desk and they offered to give me a fan. Couldnt switch to another room because it was full. Told them I had to leave because of the temp. They wouldnt refund because I booked through a third party. Told me best they could do was give me a fan. I told them again I would be leaving and wanted to cancel. Went through all the channels and they still refuse to issue a refund even though they couldnt provide a room with A/C. I stay at Best Westerns all the time and the downright terrible service at this one has guaranteed that it would be my last booking with Best Western.
