My only criticism would be the standard of the croissants and danish pastries. they never looked fresh and appetising, the croissants were very bready, I will let you off the fruit selection because the whole country suffers from that!!!"

Room next to road but no noise with double glazing. 3 choices of breakfast depending on how hungry you were. Ideal for Chatsworth, go across the road & you are able to get in the grounds & take a walk across to the house. "

"Just needed a spot of luxury after a heavy weekend. This fitted the bill to a tee. Very comfortable, and welcoming, with excellent food and pleasant service. The only possible complaint would be that the room was a bit cramped, but that happens in older buildings."

"This is a pub with an incredible range of cask beers (10) mostly from the Lincoln Green Brewery. The 3 I try ed were excellent. The hotel (pub) has a faded grandeur feel and is basic. This suits me down to the ground. They do not do breakfast so we went to Tesco opposite which has a good cafe. The ensuite room was clean and tidy and met our needs well. It is up two flights of stairs though, no lift, and is a rabbit warren. Parking is on street. Overall I liked it but posh it is not."
