Walk to Clear Creek, Mines, and downtown Golden — fully renovated 1930s bungalow
This charming 2 bedroom, 1 bath 1930’s brick bungalow is walking distance to downtown Golden and features a large great room perfect for family gatherings with a gourmet kitchen and peaceful deck in the back overlooking the Rocky Mountain Foothills. The home is a ranch floor plan with everything on one level. There's a pull out sofa bed in the front parlor room and second pull out sofa bed in the family room so the home can comfortably sleep 8. This property is divided into 2 separate rentals, each with separate entries and parking. Recently remodeled kitchen. Large great room with a cozy fireplace and deck with grill is perfect for a staycation, remote work alternative, family gatherings, viewing the local colleges, visiting parents and grandparents or just home away from home. Convenient to hiking trails and downtown Golden. It's in a neighborhood with mostly older single family homes/duplexes but right next to downtown Golden. The large dining table in the great room is perfect for family meals cooked in the mountain modern and fully equipped gourmet kitchen. (Includes spices and basics but not your groceries). Just off the great room is a private deck overlooking the foothills to the west where you can see the Colorado School of Mines "M" from the deck and great room. Many guests opt to have their morning coffee or evening conversations and casual meals on the peaceful deck. Although The Golden Bungalow is pet friendly, pets must be PRE-APPROVED. In order for us to keep the home clean for any future guests that may suffer from pet allergies, we do ask for a small, per pet fee for the extra cleaning involved to ensure our home is dander free for our future guests who may suffer pet allergies. Also for the safety of our home and your family pet, we politely ask you to use the provided crate or your own if your pet cannot accompany you when you are away from the home. We also have permanent guests residing below the Bungalow that will be sharing the fenced backyard. Check in via the lockbox on the front door. Guests enter through the front (Blue) door and have the entire upper level, the back deck with Barbeque Grill in the shared fenced backyard. Parking for 3 cars in front of and along the side of the house; no parking on-street and no parking on the driveway down to the left (reserved for guests residing below). We respect our guests' privacy but live a few miles away in case guests have any needs, questions or problems during their stay. Close to hiking and biking trails on North Table Mountain and Chimney Gulch and Apex Trailheads which lead up to Buffalo Bill's Grave and Museum, Lookout Mountain Nature Center, Boettcher Mansion as well as Lookout Mountain Park. Closer to the downtown area, there are many microbreweries, restaurants with outdoor dining, museums, parks, and the Clear Creek Kayak course with many paved and unpaved walking paths in and around the Historic Downtown Golden main street and Coors Brewery Tour pickup. Very Convenient for all the activities in Golden, the Mountains, and Boulder. We have parasailing, kayaking, hiking, biking, climbing, tubing down the creek and even a beach at the Clear Creek Kayak park, museums both indoor and out, Colorado School of Mines, Mountaineering Center, Miners Alley Playhouse, a quaint downtown with shopping, bars and restaurants. We do have bus service down the block which connects to RTD light rail station on the W line at the Jefferson County Courthouse building. Easy access to Boulder, the Denver Metro Area or the Mountains for all your outdoor activities in our 300+ days of sunshine every year. DURING SUMMER MONTHS ONLY: We have Evaporative Coolers for fresh air exchange and air conditioning. You may find the Evaporative Coolers running upon your arrival with windows open. We are trying to keep a fresh air flow circulating for the safety of our guests.

Enjoyed our stay. Very convenient location for all of our activities. Owners were great in answering questions and making contact.Great amount of space for the 5 of us.
This cute little home was everything we needed. Location is very close to downtown and convenient to Denver. The owner was very responsive and helpful. We loved it and plan to come back!
The Golden Bungalow is a comfortable house in town. It is easy to find and was sparkling clean. The 2 queen beds are comfortable and the jetted tub in the bathroom was wonderful.
We stayed for two weeks while my son-a student at Mines-recovered from ACL surgery. This was a perfect location. The house was as described and communication with the owner was easy.
Nice place. Comfortable deck. Two bedrooms. One bathroom. Comfortable living space. Easy access to downtown Golden with numerous breweries and eateries. 15 minutes to concert venue. I'd stay again.
Very cute place, no issues with checking in or out. Great space! The back room with the large table was awesome to have! Only problem we ran into was sleeping on the pull out couches was very uncomfortable. We ended up buying an air mattress to use. Also took awhile to get the refund back. Overall would stay again!
This cute little cottage had a surprising amount of room once inside. The deck out back was nice and everything was very clean. We could never get anything on the tv’s but there were lots of fun games to play.
Had a great time! Overall a nice stay but there were a few things that could have made it a little better. Location is awesome but not really walkable to downtown. You can see the mountains from the back porch which was cool. Furniture in living room is older and uncomfortable, making it hard for the family to hang out together. All in all though, a nice place to stay. If you want to be closer to the action in Golden, this one is for you.
We came to CO visit family in Evergreen over Christmas, so we used this property more like a hotel than a home. We left in the morning and returned at night to sleep.
What we loved:
• We selected this home because it is pet friendly, but decided to not bring pets.
• Access to Golden and to I70.
• Lots of living and entertaining space, with two living rooms and large kitchen.
• Nice coffee station.
• Clean and cute
• Property manager was responsive.
What we think others might want to know:
• Bedrooms are tiny, but owners have done a nice job of making the most of the space.
• There is only one bathroom.
We loved our stay st this property! Very clean, great location, the kitchen was so well stocked we were able to have several meals there. Plenty of room. Quiet. Just a quick walk from downtown Golden. All good!
