If culture, shopping and exquisite dining are at the top of your travel itinerary, then Denver’s Golden Triangle is the place to be. Bordered by Broadway on the east, Colfax Avenue on the north and Speer Boulevard on the west and south, the Golden Triangle is chock-full of excellent museums and must-see art galleries, as well as some of the best restaurants and bars in Denver. This is a terrific place to explore on foot with many of the main attractions a mere stone’s throw from each other. Wander around and admire the unique architecture where 19th-century historic mansions sit comfortably beside modern showstoppers like the impressive French-style Prado building.Make a beeline for the Denver Art Museum, pausing to admire the exterior of the dramatic Hamilton Building on the way. Designed by the eminent architect, Daniel Libeskind, this extraordinary angular edifice fittingly holds the Modern and Contemporary art collection as well as the Architecture and Design collection. Spend a couple of hours at the Kirkland Museum of Fine and Decorative Art before making your way to the Clyfford Still Museum, which is dedicated to Abstract Expressionism. Explore Colorado heritage at the History Colorado Centre and the Byers-Evans House Museum before winding up the cultural tour at Molly Brown House. This Victorian museum is dedicated to the life and work of the inspiring philanthropist, Margaret Tobin Brown and is a great way to spend an afternoon.Take an early evening stroll and explore some of the bohemian cafés, quirky bookshops and vintage shops that are dotted around Lincoln and Broadway. Also home to some of the best restaurants, trendy cafés and über-cool bars, this area has plenty of breezy boulevard charm. Indulge in some pre-dinner cocktails at one of the cosmopolitan bars before taking your pick from any of the eateries that flank the main thoroughfare. With all this and more, make life easy and put the Golden Triangle at the top of your Denver to-do list.
